“We had a great family trip at this charming cottage on the Alleghany. It’s quiet, cozy, and right on the water — perfect for relaxing and spending time together. The cottage was clean, well-stocked, and felt like a true escape. A lovely spot if you’re looking to unplug and enjoy nature!”

“The house was clean, convenient to town and yet private. There was a pond the pups could swim in and then walk the well maintained, on property, private trails. David thought of everything to make his guests comfortable and is accessible as needed. We were in need of a break from the everyday and this fulfilled that need perfectly. Coffee on the deck was the perfect way to wake up and fires at the fire pit at night was a great way to wind down. We were totally relaxed during our stay and……

“Emporium is an old town so we knew ahead of time the home was going to be older. I think they did a nice job bringing it up to date considering its age. Beds were fairly comfortable. The detergent used for the comforter was a bit strong. Fridge's water/ice machine didn't seem to work but there was fresh water in the fridge for us guests. The barn door for the bathroom was a nice touch. I'd recommend a latch or small hook as it did tend to open. Otherwise, it was clean and we loved that it was……
