Stopped here for the Solar Eclipse bc it was in a small town. So it was affordable and out of the way to avoid traffic and overcrowding. Check in was easy, room was basic but fine. Door opens to the outside - could be sealed better. You can see daylight through the sides of the door

Thank you for your review of our property. We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. It is true our property is older but we have made improvements at our property in the last several years such as remolding our breakfast area, new furniture and lamps for our rooms. Our future planned improvements are; interior and exterior painting and 50 inch TVs for all rooms. Because of the increased cost of operating a business we have tried to minimize raising our room rates for our guests while also trying to make improvements and updates to our property. We would like to thank you for staying with us.
The sheets had not been changed and there was trash in the garbage can. Next morning as we were going out the room door would not lock and maintenance was not going to be on premises for another 20 minutes.

Harrell Thank you for your review of your recent stay. I take full responsibility for the problems you experience. The room you were checked into was off market because of a issue with the door locks and the guest that was in that room was moved to another room. A computer error resulted in the room being listed as clean and vacant and you were checked into that room. We are so sorry that this happened to you! I have now implemented a plan that all rooms are to be checked every day before a guest checks in regardless if they are listed as vacant and clean in our system. Once again please accept our deepest regrets that this happened to you from all the employees at Best Western McKenzie

Staff was friendly, and courteous when our key wouldn’t open the door. It was quite, but the carpet was damp feeling, and the bed was a little on the hard side.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Loved the pool. So glad they are pet friendly. I think the pet deposit should be refunded. But we will use them again.
