About this space
The Juniper Cottage was designed with beachy vibes, paneling and light woods in every space to compliment the beauty of the Big Lake. The home is furnished beautifully, including custom hand built pieces. We're located in a quiet area directly ON Lake Michigan between Silver Lake Sand dunes & Pentwater, with our own private beach and large yard.
Juniper Cottage has 2 large private bedrooms (Sleeps 6-8), two with direct views of the Lake Michigan. Perfect spot to just rest and recharge.

This home is only able to accomidate 3 compact cars or 2 SUV's. Must sign contract with liscence plate numbers per property manager.

Nice and cute place. Fresh and new. A bit small. Great Lake views. Number of flies and fruit flies were disgusting and overwhelming. I would never go back in October. Host was nice but didn’t help.

What a beautiful property! This is a perfect place to stay and relax to enjoy the amazing view of the lake. This place for our family perfect and even was fine for smaller kids. I would recommend stopping in and checking the place out before doing your shopping as they have many small items there such as spices, tin foil, and other things you hate to buy for a short stay. Very nice to have regular grill and blackstone for tons of cooking options. They offer kayaks and boats to enjoy on the water at the small private beach. They have thought through tons of little things which makes the stay even better. Hope to stay again soon!

Amazing stay

Our stay at the juniper cottage was amazing. The house, property and amenities were top notch. We were able to relax and enjoy a week of luxury in the cottage. The location was central to both Pentwater and Silver Lake, so it was easy to come and go as well.

Great place and location

Property was awesome. Better than described in pics. We had to do some light cleaning when we got there but other than that it was perfect. I would highly recommend. Book it you will enjoy it!!!

Rental was BETTER than the photos/description!!

My family (including 3 teens and a 10 y/o) fully enjoyed our stay. We've stayed at a large number of rentals over the years for vacation- this one exceeded our expectations. The house itself was beautifully decorated, immaculate, and had top of the line appliances throughout. The view of Lake Michigan was incredible with ample lawn, patio space, and loungers/chairs, etc. We can't wait to return :)

Wish we stayed longer

We loved this home. The view, the secluded location, the house and even the neighbors were great. Lisa is so easy to communicate with, I felt like we were old friends. Though we were familiar with the area, she still provided some great food options a little out of Mears. It had everything we needed. I loved hearing the waves while we had a fire going in the fire pit. We had two meals on the outdoor table which was a nice change. We really wish we would have stayed a few days longer and hope we can get back sooner than later! Thank you Lisa!!!

Family summer getaway

The house was newly built, so it was very nice. It was very comfortable for our family of five. The hosts were prompt and thorough. If you want a nice and quiet location to hunker down, then this is the spot.

Great stay

Overall it was great. It was a new property so the quality of the experience will definitely evolve as kinks are sorted out. Our main issue is that there are big windows throughout the entire home. There are no blinds. This is why we took off one star. The ramifications are having to change chairs in the tv room depending on where the sun shines, or waking up early to a fully lit room and the sun shining on you. If you are a light sleeper this could he a deal breaker. Overall great location on the lake. Nice neighbors. Enjoyed the Fire pit. Kitchen well stocked. Very clean. Very responsive and helpful owners.

Juniper cottage gem!

Our stay at the Juniper cottage was just wonderful! We enjoyed a get-away with two teenagers, two adult children, my husband and me. The property is located directly on Lake Michigan with spectacular views from most rooms in the cottage. The finishes are top notch! The kitchen has high end appliances and was furnished with everything needed to prepare meals for our group. The king size beds in the two main bedrooms are luxurious and cozy. The bed pillows were more dense than what we are used to, and the rooms were almost too quiet. The bathrooms are spa-like with beautiful tile, heated floors and plush towels. The lower level was a perfect set-up for our teens. They enjoyed the bunk beds, large TV and a bit of privacy from the rest of the family! The back yard area was a great size and allowed the boys space to play football. The hosts took the time to put in a smokeless fire pit which really just made for the perfect evening! We sat around the firepit in adirondack chairs...it was so quiet and beautiful out there! It was a little chilly in the morning, but the ceiling heaters on the deck made it easy to enjoy our coffee while looking out onto the lake. The cottage location is in a quiet neighborhood, but close to many activities. We took a short drive to the Silver Lake Sand Dunes, Little Sable Point Lighthouse, and to a couple local bars/restaurants. We would highly recommend a stay at the Juniper cottage! Joel and Lisa were very responsive and awesome to work with!
