Aloft London Excel
6/10 Okay
"Unfortunately the shower in our room had a dreadful sewage smell. We reported this in the afternoon but it had worsened on our return late evening. Eventually we had to move rooms at midnight. The hotel did discount our parking for the inconvenience which was a nice gesture. Apart from that, the hotel was lovely and modern, the bar was great as was the breakfast in the morning. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We would go back assuming the sewage problem was a one off and we were just unlucky."

Ashford International Hotel & Spa

"All the facilities are in good condition"

"We booked a classic room & checked in at 3. Our room wasn’t ready for over an hour and a half so we were given 2 complimentary drinks, then we were upgraded to an executive room. Beautiful room and little balcony which was lovely (dockside). Great breakfast too (free of charge for all). Will definitely be returning"

Mercure Dartford Brands Hatch Hotel & Spa

"We went for a relaxing spa. Firstly, the air conditioning wasn’t working in our room, one of the hottest days so far, was told they would check and in the meantime there was a fan in the cupboard. No fan, but a heater!! Phoned reception again to let them know and then said they would come back to me. Went to reception and we changed rooms which was a much better room anyway. We used the pool facilities which were nice enough but unfortunately there were 2 children in particular who screamed constantly and it was so loud in such a small environment. We have no issue with children at all playing etc but the screaming was not fair for other guests who were there to relax. This did spoil it a bit to be honest. In the morning breakfast was lovely and back to the spa. Children playing, no problem. Criticism: only 6 sunbeds!! Went back to our room for a shower before returning home and we had no hot water!"

ORIDA Maidstone Hotel

Best Western London Ilford Hotel
8/10 Good
"When I arrived I was allocated a twin room 2 floors up. As I have mobility issues I use the room. There is no lift at the hotel. The receptionist said that was not a problem and offered me a single room on the ground floor. Thank you Olga for that. The room was a bit small but as there was only me it didn't matter. The bed was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. The shower was excellent. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of hot and cold food. Tea coffee and different juices where available. The breakfast was hot and enjoyable. The price was excellent. The next time I am in London I will be staying there again. Excellent location beside the train station and 10 minutes into the centre of London. Special mention to the staff excellent and very courteous. Well done."

"It’s a basic clean and neat hotel similar to Premier Inn.. it was expensive paid half the price not long ago, rather disappointing.."

Moxy London Excel
10/10 Excellent
"Came for MCM comic con - it was well placed at just a 10 minute walk from the back exit of the excel centre. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and had the most delicious air con which was needed during a heatwave! There was a 24hr bar which meant that you could pop down and grab a cold drink/snack if you needed to as well. Would definitely rebook!"

King Charles Hotel
