“Poor service of Sona and pool”

“Stayed in the family room. Good size with everything you need. Lovely shower. My only complaint was that the mattresses weren’t great. All four of us never really had a great night’s sleep. Loved the Sky pool. Bar the mattresses, really enjoyed our stay.”

“We had a lovely stay and would recommend this property. The only issue we had was that our pre-arranged hotel transfer was not actually arranged. The hotel did not confirm that booking, so we ended up using the taxi stand, which was fine. You are a bit outside of the main areas in Malta, but it was a lovely hotel with a fantastic breakfast. We enjoyed the restaurants around the hotel too. Great views at breakfast! Nice, quiet rooms with comfortable beds! We loved the partial sea view.”

“The property location was great for the money. Rooms had enough apartment utensils to allow you to survive weeks. However, the beds where not great. I got two little twin beds side by side, which i wouldve hoped was at least the same feel, but one was dripping and the other one was just straight hard. That would be my only reco. Also, they do not have towels for beach/pool. So bring your own.”

“newly renovated...clean n tidy...location is good but if u r driving....its almost impossible to find a parking space nearby in the evening. room is spacious but there r no refrigerator...no electric kettle...no table..no chair ....shower area no curtains if this room is for elderly or handicapped they should make a remark in the website.”

“Good option with good standard rooms if you're ok to "commute" to the attractions in and around St Paul's bay (or stick to the pool area all day), location has limited food options within walking distance. Room has a kitchen (upgraded maybe) with kettle, microwave, stove and sink but no tea or coffee is provided so bring some as prices will be inflated.”

“An excellent boutique hotel perfectly located for walking to the many places to visit in Mdina and Rabat. Very close to the main bus stops and restaurants. The hotel is in a grand old building, fully and tastefully modernised inside. Our room was spacious and well appointed. And spotlessly clean. Breakfast was generous; we appreciated the range of fruits. Grace made us very welcome throughout our 3 day stay and was very helpful on practicalities like transport. We really enjoyed our stay and……

“The place is easy to find, street parking. Very clean, all amenities in the room, robes, shower gel, shampoo, tea, coffee, jugs if water. Comfy bed and room with a balcony. Staff brilliant, very friendly and helpful. Places to seat, drink, busses etc within short walking distance”

“We stayed at XVI Suites from 4–10 April and booked this hotel specifically because the pool was advertised as being open from April to October. Unfortunately, on arrival we were informed that the pool would not open until the end of April. When I pointed out that Expedia clearly stated it would be open from the beginning of April, I was simply told that the information was incorrect. After several excuses like ‘it had rained’ there was still no resolution or acknowledgment of the inconvenience……
