A magical place... If you are looking for a magical place where time slows down and nature embraces every moment… this is the house for you.
Although there are no direct neighbors, the house has a small local garden just across the road, where you can also buy fresh vegetables and fruits. It is located along the national road that connects Mesão Frio and Régua, giving you easy access to both towns and an excellent base to explore the entire Douro Valley region.
You can also walk to cafés and a grocery store in just 5 minutes along the road.
Important to note: the Douro railway line runs right next to Casa da Bebereira, as it does with many riverside homes in this region. The trains are a picturesque element — in fact, they’re part of the unique charm, magic, and identity of the Douro Valley, gently following the course of the river. They pass by the house at widely spaced intervals, and although they may momentarily cause some noise and vibration, they are very much a part of the landscape’s character.
