“The checking in was brilliant, we arrived in the morning and they gave us our key early as we were not going to be needing our room until later as we were attending a wedding in a nearby village. Everything was as you would expect however the bed was not!! They had put a king size mattress on a double bed. Unbeknown to me I turned over while I was asleep and fell out hurting myself!! The mattress was not supported by anything under it and it was overlapping my side of the bed by about 9……

“We stayed here due to a wedding at nearby Bruisyard. It was a lovely stay and I couldn’t fault it, a beautiful setting full of nature and a very well preserved property. Liz was very accommodating allowing us to drop our luggage and car off earlier than check in; we also came down to a very very nice breakfast with something for everyone. ”

“The hotel is part of a historic inn which was very atmospheric. We stayed in a family room for 3 people and the room was warm and cosy and welcoming as we arrived just before 9pm and it was a bit chilly in the countryside. “I booked this property because it acepts dogs. When I arrived the owner was quite horrible with me about my dog. Apparently you need to state about your dog coming even though the website doesn't state that! Poor communication and as a paying customer I was put off by the owners attitudes ”
