Our daughter lives in Midland and we have been staying elsewhere but the prices keep rising. We started looking for campgrounds and found Horseshoe. The cabin was incredibly clean, very comfortable and spacious. It was quiet for being near I20. Easy check in and check out. We will definitely be back on our next trip down to see family. If you know Midland, it is in the desert, so knowing that information helps to know what to expect.

The cabin we rented did not have soap. It's a good thing we had a bar of soap in our toiletry bag. Check in was a key left on the dresser and an open door. Check out the next morning was to leave the key on the dresser and the door unlocked. That was new.

Very Pleasant Stay

I had a last minute trip on a budget. I was looking for someplace cheap. Well, this place is not cheap. Affordable? Yes, but not cheap. I was very impressed with what I got for the price. The room was functional, comfortable, roomy, and above all it was CLEAN! The towels were soft and smelled clean, the sheets smelled clean, everything was how it should be. This is not a romantic weekend kind of place, but if you need a clean comfortable room for a reasonable price, this is perfect.

Nice cabin, bad location and service

No one in the office upon arrival. Had to call the manager who said the key was in the cabin. The A/C was not working, it was over 80F, called manager, left voice-mail, never heard back from him. The cabin inside was nice and rustic, the bed comfortable, there was no coffee pot or any other items in the cabin. No toiletries. The location is not good and the outside of the place is dirty and dusty. All in all we were disappointed.

The place was very dirty. There was dust bunnies all over above the stovetop on the wall. The bed frame was full of dust and dirt. Lots of weeds everywhere. Camp Trailers attached to the back of the cabins. There was toothpaste flung on the wall in the bathroom. They do not clean unless you ask them to come clean. Fingerprints still on the outside of the fridge. The laundry room was just as dirty. The folding table had small ants all over and there was dust bunnies everywhere. If you are an oil rigging employee you would feel safe but for a woman traveling alone it is not a good spot. Way outside of midland and Odessa. So not a very convenient location. Wish I would have rented a hotel. The WiFi was down the whole time and so had to go buy a hotspot so I could use my laptop to run my business.

Very clean room, met our expectations. Looks like the pics. I did notice large crack in the bathroom door and missing drawer cover that was already there. I made sure to take pics just in case. But we are very satisfied

Perfect for traveling with pets.

Traveling with our dogs, we drove to our mini cabin and let them straight into our own door. Could not be easier to have an overnight stay while traveling with pets. My total room cost was less than just the pet fees at other places. Support small businesses. :)
