"I originally selected a cottage, but those are very outdated and outside of the main lodge, which made it extremely inconvenient. We asked to be changed to a new room and we were lucky to get transferred to the main lodge. The rooms in the Lodge were updated less than 2 years ago and they are very well kept. The amenities throughout the resort were very good and the overall experience was great. The staff was beyond helpful and friendly at all times and all the restaurants and bars on premises were very good with good dishes for every taste. I will definitely return to the Tenaya Lodge next time I'm in the area. Another perk is that the resort is about 5 to 7 minutes from the entrance to Yosemite National Park; if you are looking for an upscale experience, the Tenaya Lodge is the best choice. The Ahwahnee Hotel inside the Park is historic and very beautiful, but the prices don't add up to the confort and cleanliness of the Tenaya Lodge, which is lower or comparable in price; hands down a better choice if you don't have to stay inside the park."
