Great Location for quiet relaxation, or being front and center of the local fun, this cute 2 bedroom one bath home is exceptionally clean and well maintained, private but only minutes away from so much! located in beautiful Mills River, NC. less than 1/4 miles from Hwy 280 four lane. You're less that 5 miles from the Asheville airport, the town of Hendersonvilles' fun festivals, Sierra Nevada Brewing, trout fishing, amazing hiking trails and bicycling, Looking Glass Falls and Sliding Rock. Approximately 15 minutes to Asheville, The Blue Ridge Parkway and NC Arboretum. Don't forget to check out Bold Rock Restaurant and Music venue, only 1 mile away!

Great location

It was nice and quiet. The house itself was clean but the outside could have used some cleaning and straightening. I enjoyed my stay and would love to be able to book again. Renee was a great host and always responded in a timely manner when I had questions or issues. Thanks to her for the great experience.

Learned a lesson about failure to disclose the full information about listing. Place was clean, parking difficult. I didn’t want to stay in a trailer.

Perfect getaway spot

Home was clean, furniture and bedding very comfortable and was just perfect for us. Close to everything but yet secluded. Loved watching the deer and turkeys each morning. We will be back.

Great place at very reasonable rate

Staying in Asheville proper is expensive and urban. Get away to Mills River, about 20 minutes south, and enjoy peace and quiet. This property has a great location, secluded yet close to everything you might need. You can get a fancier place for a much fancier price, or you can get a terrific place at a modest price. Give me option 2 every time.

Quiet and Peaceful

Great location, close enough to everything but still away from all the noise. Quiet and peaceful, clean and comfortable. Not much more you could ask for. Will definitely stay again.

Single Wide Trailer in Great Location

When we arrived we were surprised to see that this location was actually a single wide trailer that had seen many years of service. While the bathroom fixtures were showing signs of wear and tear, everything was kept in tip top shape. We did have a minor problem with the bathroom sink the day after we arrived but the owner corrected the situation immediately. This place is extremely clean and well maintained. The furniture new and is in excellent condition and very comfortable. The TV was a very large flat screen, and the internet was excellent. Although the bedrooms are small the beds are also very comfortable. We loved the kitchen. It was well equipped with just about everything a cook would want. (There is no dishwasher.) The unit is placed on the edge of a large field which is very private and has a country setting. It is very peaceful, and if you have good weather sitting on the front porch is a delight. They have some large wild turkeys that just walked about in the field while we were eating. We also saw deer in the field as well. Mills River is also a fantastic location. It is equidistant between Asheville and Hendersonville and is only about a beautiful 20 minute ride to either location. Some of the downsides are that the driveway is gravel and does have some rough spots. We have a regular sedan and did not have any problems, but I would not want to tackle it in bad weather. We also could not open the windows and had no screens. I do not know if that's because the owners still had them in a "winterized" mode or if they are always that way. We had a few warm nights and that made the bedrooms very stuffy. If there was AC I could not find it. Overall, for the price this was an excellent value. We would definitely stay here again in spite of some of the limitations. We loved the time we spent there.

Fantastic Stay

I was in town with my son to help my sister with our parents move to assisted living. The trip was filled with anxiety but the home i booked was not! It was perfect for our needs. Incredibly clean. I cannot stress the cleanliness enough! Great location, private but within easy drive to everything! Great communication with owners. Will book every time i am in town! Thank you!

Cute Little House

We came for a girls weekend and we absolutely LOVED this place. It was the perfect size for the 2 of us and convenient to all the things we wanted to do while we were in town. Renee and Gene were great hosts and we can't wait to come back! We would definitely recommend this place and we will certainly be staying here again.

Mountain Get Away

This property was perfect in every way. It was quiet and private. I was clean, cute, comfortable and just far enough off the beaten path to see several species of wildlife. A buck, a doe, a rabbit and a wild turkey. We enjoyed just relaxing after a day of exploring and hiking. The owners were easy to contact if we had a question or issue and were quick to respond. We will certainly come back if we are in the area again.

Fantastic Asheville Area Getaway

Came into town for NYE and had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful property. The location is super convenient to a lot of vineyards, breweries and other shops you might need like target or Walmart. Downtown Asheville is a quick 25 minute drive down the road. The place was super clean and the amenities were plentiful! Thank you for sharing your home with us! (:

Peaceful country setting

The area is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the covered porch watching the birds. A flock of turkeys came by every evening, and a hummingbird visited a couple of times. Even though it is in a secluded area, it is no more than 15 min from restaurants, breweries, and walking trails. We were in Asheville within 20 minutes. They included all kinds of amenities, including a K-cup machine, hair dryer and washer/dryer. The owner is very kind and did everything within his power to make our stay pleasant. Super clean and great water pressure!

A piece of heaven right near everything!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Gene was very personable and went out of his way to help us have the pinnacle of all visits! The Vrbo is clean and pretty and comfortable and homey. So cute and adorable. Visits from wild turkeys and deer amoung the corn stalks was delightful! We’ve already told our family and friends about this place and they are looking forward to planning their next visit and stay here! Ten stars out of ten for us! Much nicer than expected!

The property owner went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable, including installing a Bike washing hose and outlet for our mountain bikes. And the memory foam mattress was the best. I will be getting one soon. This location is perfect for road and mountain biking and river access.
