Lovely quirky rooms, decour a little tired but you get what you pay for, we have stayed at many 5 star hotels but we're very happy with this one because the food and atmosphere were great, the land lady Mel never seemed to stop working and always cheerful, an ideal place in the lovely town of Woburn and a great centre for visiting many places, ideal place for down to earth people.

The hotel grounds were unkept & certain areas of the hotel were a little past their sell by date! However the Receptionist when checked in was very helpful & polite despite the fact that most of her technical appliances were down. The Barman at the restaurant side of the hotel was also very good.

Turned the tap on in the w.c. sink and instead of draining away dirty water came up through the drain and would not drain away. Room was facing the road which was very busy continuously as the hotel was on the rout to Woburn Safari Park

Parking over the road in the Pub opposite the accommodation is ideal. Property is situated on a main road which is quite busy at all times throughout the night early morning. Ear plugs would be useful.

I didn't actually stay at the Bell, I was taken into hospital with Pneumonia but I wanted to say how fabulous Catherine was after Expedia had neglected to send me a confirmation email so I was unable to cancel in the time frame required. The customer service from Catherine was over and above, she is a reason I would want to stay at the Bell. It's rare to receive support, understanding and recognition that customer service is the backbone of a business and I can't praise her enough. I

Nicely located in the centre of Woburn with its own car park. The only issue is you are wedded to your mobile phone is that mobile signal strength is very poor (I’m on EE). But the hotel has free WiFi and Woburn itself is served by fibre optic cables to the premises.
