Amazing Views

AMAZING VIEWS!!! Spectacular balcony views 180 degrees down coastline. Ocean views from all rooms but one bedroom and bathrooms. Unit was decently updated but felt a little worn as there were multiple stained sofa pillows and scuff/splatter marks on various walls. A/C ventilation in secondary bedroom is awful and gets really hot at night. Living room layout made TV watching awkward- had to pull up a few dining room chairs to avoid twisting our necks towards the TV. Great beachfront location with easy access to beach. No beach chairs/equipment included, so pay up for a rental or bring your own. Only 2 elevators for the building, so wait times for an elevator were pretty lengthy at times, BUT the back wall of the elevator was glass so you got a nice view of the beach. Unit not ready to check-in at designated time, had to wait an hour later to check-in. Overall, outstanding ocean views, great beach front location, older building, decent unit.

First time

The unit was beautiful, the view breathtaking! However the unit lacked bacic items, such as a heavier blanket. Basic items for the kitchen, such as additional soap. Possibly items such as salt and pepper a small bottle of oil to cook. The beach section was extremely crowded, we were very disappointed with the up charge of the chairs and umbrellas for every single day! The charge seems to be extremely expensive and basically not too affordable. When we were there, the elevator was under construction, so it made it very uncomfortable and the long waits to try and get up and down to our floor. Other than that the unit was lovely.

180 degrees view of the Gulf of Mexico

This is a fantastic place to stay with a great view of the ocean. The only couple issues we have had are: the waiting in line for the check-in takes way too long and the beach was very crowded when found out that kids were off on fall break from the Tennessee public school for the whole week (first week of October).

Panoramic view

This is a great location. You can wake up to the beauty of the beach and ocean. Very clean and inviting. Our pool was closed during our stay but we enjoyed the beach. Would be nice if chairs and umbrella was included in stay. Wonderful place to stay!

Beautiful views

The views were amazing from literally the moment you open the door to the condo. Almost every room had beautiful gulf views, even better than described. Check-in was fine. Unit wasn’t ready until almost 5:00PM and some things still needed cleaned. Had to request more towels as we had to launder them every day and didn’t receive them until the following evening. Other than that, it was great!

AMAZING VIEWS!

This was our first time staying at this particular resort/condo. The property hired leasing company can definitely improve their sign in process, communication, and overall maintenance of the unit. During our stay they changed the gate codes with no warning. We went out to the harbor and returned to the unit and could not get in the gate. It was pouring outside making it hard to see but we drove around the entire property multiple times trying to find help. We called and called and called from the code box. ..finally an operator answered and gave us the code. Wasted 1hr of our time. The views in the unit are spectacular! The first impression for us coming in, was the unit was dirty. We lost a day of vacation because we had to immediately go to Walmart and purchase lysol, cleaning supplies, new bed comforters, pillow cases, and blankets. We had to clean the unit, scrub the countertops, bathrooms, etc. and cover up the extremely dirty white sofa in the LR. The sofa need to be replaced. It's nasty. The refrigerator was not working (maintenance came the next day). There was a structural leak right outside of our unit so we spent the first few days jumping over a puddle directly in front of our door (maintenance eventually fixed). Once clean, the place became cozy but then we battled with a horrible smell...mold, wet dog, dirty vents, uck... who knows what it was but, it was horrible. It smelled like hot funk. Upon returning home our luggage retained the gross smell. :-( I personally will never stay here again but, the views this unit offer are to die for. I definitely do not think these issues are owner issues, I think whom they are using to clean and maintain the property need to be looked in to. The cleaning fees were extremely high. There's no reason we had to purchase supplies and clean ourselves for what we were charged nor spend our vacation dealing with a bad smell.

An Amazing Week

We could not have been more pleased with the unit we secured for our vacation. We have stayed in Sandestin for many years at various condos. This was by far the best unit we have experienced. The unit was everything the owner advertised. It was clear the owner invested carefully to ensure clients and guests had a comfortable stay. We have flagged this condo for future vacations. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else when we visit Sandestin. Thank you for a wonderful week! Glen & Margo

Instant stress relief

So, as soon as you enter the condo and open one of the many balcony doors to the beautiful scene before you the sights, smells and sounds of the ocean hit you and an instant sigh of relief comes over you. I kid you not! If you are thinking about taking a vacation, book this room, heck! splurge a little because you deserve it. The panoramic views are outstanding! The furniture is classy and actually comfortable! If we had an issue (there was just one) it was fixed very expediently. Our issue was the dishwasher, not a huge deal since we can wash by hand. Upon our arrival at the airport we discovered a shortage of rental cars and even taxis and Ubers were in high demand. This wasn't a huge deal either since everything on the resort is accessible by the tram (which is airconditioned) except for the grocery store. We got stuck at Publix when we went to get groceries and couldn't get a taxi/Uber/Lyft back to the condo, but we eventually got back okay. Would have been nice to have had access to a golf car/cart though. The restaurant next door is very good. The beds were very comfortable and clean and the appliances were high quality. All in all we plan on booking this condo in the future and are looking forward to going back to Sandestin Resort. p.s. The Wharftown Village is so much fun! Food, drinks, shopping, the pier, gelato store! and more.

We had a little hiccup with check in. We arrived at 4:30, but our room wasn’t ready yet. The front desk was very helpful and gave my keys/packet, but said they would text me when the room was ready. Two hours later (we went out for dinner), I texted the number to see if it was ready. They apologized and said it was ready. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the unit. It was beautiful. Even with that hiccup, the resort was always polite and helpful.

Change of plans

The property is well kept and the location is terrific. I'm submitting my review with an asterisk from the point that it wasn't the original unit we booked. The owner of a different unit cancelled on us on Thursday as we were set to arrive Saturday. The property management company found us this unit as an alternate. It all worked out ok in the end but we were a bit frazzled with the owner of the other unit. When we checked in to this unit it smelled heavily of fish. We bought air fresheners, kept the windows open, etc. and the smell subsided after a day or two. We were at the beach most of the time so it wasn't a significant issue and not one that the owner could control. The location is terrific and ease of access to the beach was nice as well. It had a couple of beach chairs and beach umbrella in the closet. We used those after paying for the rental chairs and umbrella for a couple of days. The pool was good and clean and we used it on a couple of days where the water was closed due to double red flags. I would recommend the unit to anyone and think that they would enjoy their stay.

Beautiful beachfront views

Our family chose this condo for the second time, we visit the area annually. We love the location, amenities, interior design and gorgeous views of this condo. The unit is very comfortable and a nice place to spend our family vacation. We typically stay all day down at the beach and eat most meals in the condo. The most disappointing thing about the condo this time was that it needed a good cleaning. The shower floor tile was very dirty and moldy, we opted to not use it and our family of four used the guest bath/shower. We also think the kitchen supplies need to be restocked, there was not flat/cookie sheet type of pan or baking pan. We had to get creative on how to cook our meals or had to buy foil pans at the grocery. Lastly, there wasn’t an umbrella and the chairs were leaking black liquid, we made a trip to Alvin’s and bought our own. Despite the setbacks we did enjoy the beautifully designed condo in Beachside two. The views are amazing and we had a fantastic vacation here.

WOW!! perfect location and setup. The beach and location and wonderful but we just loved the condo so much, sometimes we just wanted to stay in. We will be back and not just in season. This place would be great in the wintertime too. Very breezy patio for hot summer days and the views... MAGNIFICENT

WONDERFUL! WILL BE BACK!

This Condo was exceptional with a beautiful view and constant customer service from the resort staff. If I had to choose one thing to critique, I would say the beds are on the hard side, so you may want to bring a mattress topper if that does not suit you. However, the recliners are very comfortable and the rest of this condo, the view, and the resort MORE than make up for that! We will be back! Thank you for the wonderful vacation!
