Spring break
Property was just as described. Perfect location to everything. Very close to the beach, just ~ 5 min walk. The pool was really nice, felt good after spending the day at the beach. Property manager very quick to communicate, check in was a breeze. No complaints, would recommend!

I like the location of the property, the condo itself is not that great, its average to me, the air condition was not functioning for 2 nights of our 4 nights of stay. They are not flexible with check in and check out. Great location though, a lot of activities you can do. I give the location 10/10. And a walk to the beach.not an ocean view, partial ocean view it is.

Easy access to everything. It was perfect for our needs.
We were in the area for a basketball tournament. My son stayed in the Hilton with the team and this complex was perfect for us. We walked over every morning for the devotion and to visit with the team before the games. Access to complex/condo was very easy and the parking was excellent. We were there for 5 days and didn’t have any issues. It’s exactly what I was wanting. Studio condo since it was just me and my husband. Our condo was right next to the elevator which I normally don’t like. But it was SO quiet. We were both shocked at how quiet the condo was. Saw many people with pets but never heard any of them. It was so cold that we didn’t have the opportunity to get in the pool but would definitely try it out if the weather was warmer. If we ever have the opportunity to go to this area again, we will definitely be staying here!

Great location. Listing wasn’t available and received an upgrade!
A few days before our trip I received a call stating that the original room we booked had a water issue and that we wouldn’t be in that room we’d be in a bigger 1 bedroom condo. It was very nice and the location was perfect. 5 minute walk to the beach and a few little restaurants nearby. The communication with the property manager is great. Would definitely stay again!

Weekend Get Away
We had a fabulous time staying here. Very clean. Beautiful room with good ocean view. The carpet was so soft and felt great on our feet after being in the water all day. The room is next to the elevator and we never heard the elevator once. The pool is incredible. 2 min walk to beach on a nice path. Will be booking again and looking forward to staying. The beach is gorgeous here. The resort is so close to everything. Only a very short drive to Destin. Close to Baytown Warf. This room and resort was perfect in everyway.

Sandestin Luau II
This is our 2nd time o stay at Luau II. Our room was very clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The location is a 2 minute casual walk to the beach, and the Sandestin Resort is beautiful. The price was a great value in comparison to many other comparable properties. We only had to call Marcella once because we could not figure out the digital thermostate. She was quick to answer and help us relolve our issue. We would certainly recommend!

Cannot say enough nice things for Justin with Property Mgmt!! But having said that..you hate to have to reach out on a vacation. Hot water was non existent on day one, but quickly corrected. Told Hot Water heater turned all the way down. So for full disclosure..had problem and QUICKLY fixed. Location/ description was spot on and we had previous experience with Luau. Walk to Beach is SUPER quick. I did not consider this dated or rundown as other reviews noted. It is not a new property and I felt it was well represented. Covered deck parking is a great perk, as well as tram to good eats. The only thing missing in description and reviews ..which I will add...the bed needs to be updated. Extremely firm, could feel springs. I looked for bed comments, as you hate to have a horrible bed on vacation. No matter what you pay at Sandestin it is a premium and you expect a great sleep experience. THAT IS THE REASON FOR 4 STARS. Fix the bed and this unit could not be better for a couple who wants to enjoy local restaurants and not cook. There is room for a convection microwave HINT UPGRADE the microwave. We enjoyed our trip and felt we paid a good price for a long weekend trip in a studio.

Glad you had a nice time. Thank you for noting how quickly we respond if there is a problem Sorry the matrass was too firm to for your liking. We just upgraded the unit with new furniture and thanks for the tip about the microwave. We will look into a convection microwave.

Clean, cozy, and well equipped room on beautiful resort
The room is very nice with lots of space and has microwave, nice size fridge, and sink for convenience of preparing small meals! There are also gas grills In the beautiful courtyard to use. The room conveniently located closely to everything on this beautiful resort and a short walk to the beach. A great getaway for a great price!

Patricia, I am very sorry you feel this way. New carpet was installed this year, so your comment about the carpet seems off. Sleeper is also new this year and we are constantly updating little things, but since it is only a studio, there is only so much you can update.

We are glad that you thought our condo was great and had an enjoyable stay. Luau is a short walk to the beach, about 3-4 minutes, but we also have several options that are directly beachfront for next time.

The balcony is standing room only. No more than two feet of space. If I would have known this I would have stayed a Beachside two for that price. Also the TV speaker sounds like a clock radio. The owner let us check in 30 minutes early and the room was nice and clean. Bring all your own supplies to this one.

Quite posh little condo room. The bed was super comfortable - we slept great. The view from this room is wonderful - we got up early to watch the sunrise each morning. Super easy access to elevator, parking garage, and most importantly, the BEACH. The drive to the Village for evening dining was also very easy. We had a wonderful stay.

Very nice studio unit, I was 7th floor so had a decent view. I did not use the Tram. Very short walk to the beach, and beach bar & grill at the Hilton. Would def visit again.

Just what we needed for the weekend!
We needed a weekend away after everything we had been through. I loved the location, we have stayed at the San Destin Hilton before and I felt this was more secluded and private. If we had to pick one thing we wished for, would be a pillow top bed! All in all, it was a pleasure to stay!

Great place near the beach
We visited Marcella's place shortly after Hurricane Michael, and although we had some difficulties getting into town, Marcella was always quick to respond and help us with anything we needed. The condo was the perfect size for a weekend stay for two, and was within walking distance to the beach. We were in town for a wedding at the Hilton and it was a great option for staying nearby without the hustle and bustle of a large hotel.

My wife and I attend an annual conference at the Sandestin Hilton and prefer to stay away from crazy pace of the hotel. We decided to stay at The Luau due to the proximity of the hotel. It is literally a 5 minute walk through the parking lot to the Hilton. The room was exactly as promised. It even had available beach chairs and umbrellas, which came in very handy. The pool was beautiful and there was ample parking, both covered and outdoors.

We loved the stay, the room , and the area.
Marcella was amazing! She accommodated us when our timing was a little off. The pictures were exactly what the room looked like. The only negatives had nothing to do with Marcella. The resort had trash everywhere. There were beer cans, bottles, clothing , and excessive trash on the walk to the beach. We would recommend!

Perfect location, fine rental!
Luau was in the perfect location for us - right behind the Hilton where my son and family were staying! The elevators were fast, were rarely a wait, the condo is right beside the elevator, but we never heard it. The small kitchenette is stocked with the basic needs - I didn't want to cook any entire meals with so many great places to eat nearby! The pool at Luau is great. There were always places to park (take the gate code with you to get back in!) I can't really think of anything serious enough to prevent you from choosing this affordable rental !

The Luau property is very nice!
We stayed in this studio for one night over July 4th weekend. The unit is located right next to the elevator and was not noisy at all. The unit is nicely decorated and comfortable for 2 adults. The property has tons of amenities and we were happy to sit by the pool, walk along the beach and enjoy a dinner across the street at Flemming's in the Hilton property.

Great place!
We were only there for about 10 hours. We checked in around midnight and checked out at 10 am. We have a rental home in the area and needed a place to stay until our home was available. It was easy to find, has great ammenities, great location and is so clean. Love the view from the balcony. We will definitely stay here again while waiting for our renters to checkout. Hopefully, we will get to take advantage of some of the ammenities next time!
