"First time staying in a Ryokan and to our surprise, they send us to the “annex” which was not as nice as the main building of the hotel. We did have a spacious western style room and our small private bathtub. We didn’t really get to experience staying at a Ryokan since we were in a building its rooms and no baths. The space was ok. Room and overall facilities were quite modern. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Private onsens require booking and a 1000JPY fee which is ok but half board for my 2 year old child at 5500JPY was quite steep considering what they served (and options are limited given the amount of raw food for dinner). "
