New and modern hotel. Clean rooms, nice staff. The onsen was really a very good surprise. We loved it. We loved all the little extras offered by the hotel. Close to restaurants and some shopping. Not much to do in Miyazaki unless you’re a golfer ( or surfer). We stopped to visit the shrine and Heiwadai park ( and the Haniwa sculptures).

Good choice for staying in downtown Miyazaki
Check in was a breeze. The room was clean and comfortable. The hot springs were very well cared-for and provided great relaxation. The hotel is near mass-transit and nightlife areas, as well as shopping.

The limited English language skills by staff was a challenge at times. Their use of electronic translation device tries to address the gap.

Hotel is new with good breakfast. Price is reasonable. Got what we expected from Dormy Inn. Hotel is fairly new which is a present surprise. Good service from front staff.

The hotel room was relatively clean but the toilet room was dirty, as was the vents. The onsen area is very small at max capacity and rather unclean during our visit. The parking lot is terribly cramped and had trash everywhere.

One of the best hotel experiences of my life.
This was unexpectedly probably the best hotel experience I've had in relation to amenities and service. It's not a fine star resort, but it's an extremely nice and building with wonderful beds and great complementary facilities. The hot spring baths on the top floor are incredibly clean and the outdoor section in particular is really nice with faux rocks and real plants shielding you from the outside but allowing you to enjoy nature while relaxing. They offer several free drinks, including a pair of local speciality shochu, ( Japanese spirits) juice, and beer after dinner. Later in the evening, after you've finished enjoying the hot springs, you can come down stairs for free ramen. Service has been excellent and everything is well apportioned and new. Location is just one kilometer from the station. A very happy accident that we stayed here.

Small & Cozy Room, Great Location
Located in downtown of Miyazaki city. It tooks only 5~10 minute waking to access Lots of Restaurant. Free Beer & Free Ramen served late night. Room is a little bit small, but clean and comfort. Friendly Staff. Extra fee for parking.

Dormy Inn Miyazaki
We loved this hotel; this was one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at in over 2 months of travelling around Japan, especially for the price. It was nice, modern, new, clean, and quiet. The staff spoke great English, some of the best we’ve heard. It was also in a convenient part of town, with a 10-minute walk to the train station (we had a vehicle so proximity to the station wasn’t key for us) and restaurants and stores just outside the front door. They also have a nice onsen (that’s free to use, unlike in a previous howe stayed at) that has a hot indoor and outdoor pool. Bonus: Sola (right across from men’s onsen entrance) offers FREE beer and shochu from 7:00-10:00pm every night! We found this out almost by accident, as it doesn’t seem like it’s promoted much (at least in English), although perhaps for good reason!

The hotel is clean and updated. Breakfast has a few good options. The hotel is about 1.5km from the main train station and have no public transport or hotel shuttle service meaning you would need to either take a taxi or walk. Apart from that a good experience staying here.

Typical Dormy Inn but quite new so all very fresh. Rooms small but very well laid out with everything you need at hand. Small touches like cables to charge phones appreciated. Free washing machines great if you are travelling and just a small charge for dryers. Car parking right next door for small charge. Good location with plenty of shops and places to eat nearby.

Amazing hotel. It is very close to bus stop. It also has a convenience store (Lawson) that sell cup noodles / lunch box / hot food next to the hotel. You can find many good food in 10 minutes walking distance. Hotel is very clean but the room is a bit small. Provide free beer and ramen at night also!

A nice spa like hotel
We had a great experience with this hotel! We especially enjoyed the onsen every evening. Granted the rooms were a little small compared to U.S. standards, but by Japan standards it was top notch.
