「Hotel was exceptionally comfortable. Bed was great, air conditioning functioned flawlessly for the two days I was there and each day experienced mid 90° temperature. The outdoor pool was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was also exceptional. Hot fare included scrambled eggs, sausage patties one day and links the next. Waffles and toast were also available. For the price, it was hard to beat.」

「Staff told me I had to vacate the area because my son was too loud and the room was a mess. I was told it was extensive cleaning needed, however wet toilet paper can be swept up. 「Don't overlook this one. With fresh renovations and a convenient bar/restaurant on site, it truly feels upscale. The rooms are average, but freshly updated and so quiet. The staff is all lovely and the pool area seemed very nice though I did not come prepared to swim. Sadly, I would likely never find myself in Statesville again, but I'm very happy that I chose this Sonesta Select. I was not traveling with my pup this time, but they seem very pet-friendly without sacrificing the clean feel.」

「Staff smoked on a non smoking property but I did ask the ladies to move and they did the guy at the front desk was smoking right at front door and trash was left daily on the floors by the elevators it wasn’t one day that trash wasn’t outside of the trash can. Also they are trip hazards by the outside sitting area closer to the part where you can see the vineyard.」

There was only one paper cup in the room for 2 guests. The bathtub was so stained it looked like it had not been cleaned.
