“Clean room, vintage look”

“We stayed at Narayan Kothi, Varanasi for 2 nights and overall had a comfortable and pleasant stay. The rooms and hospitality were good, and we enjoyed our time at the property. However, there are some areas that need serious improvement, especially food quality and service follow-up. I ordered Dahi Kebab during the stay, after which I suffered food poisoning. The hotel should urgently review its kitchen hygiene and food quality standards. I had also ordered plain moong dal for my 7-month-old……

“Well located but very tatty. Inflexible to any kind of late checkout without charging excessive amount. Housekeeping inconsistent, in the 4 nights I stayed room was not cleaned once. When I checked in room was missing all amenities and towels. I would suggest looking around before staying there ”

“Staff is nice and courteous. Rooms were clean and updated. No issues during the stay. Housekeeping had to be called but I guess it’s primarily to allow for privacy/ security. Breakfast was good and the ability to order from kitchen was an awesome. ”

“Comfy, clean room. Good location, very close to Assi ghat. Linen was not too fresh, somwone's hair on the pillows. No toilet paper in the bathroom. Apparebtly, it also takes 15 mins to check out in the morning. That is if there are no other guests checking out at the same time. It would have been good to know before I arranged for the taxi pickup ") All in all, good value for money; and with some simple improvements, it has the potential for excellency. ”
