“A month living as Ticos in the Casa Amarilla - great people, beautiful location and reasonable price. We would recommend it for anyone looking for a long term rental in a quiet small town near La Fortuna. There are a multitude of entertainment activities in the area. We did not rent a car and found Uber and taxi transportation readily available. All the recommended staff were excellent. They were very kind, timely and helpful when minor problems occurred. “Loved the vibe of this place at night!! We got there late afternoon, nice and cool on the mountain side, chilled outside while it was raining and enjoyed the sunset and atmosphere of the place! I'd definitely stay here again!”

“This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. This would be a very fun place for a group of friends as there was a big field to play in, tons of beds, and a big covered communal area to play games. “We had a great time at FINCA el Refugio de Papito. The experience will stay with our family forever. The hosts were welcoming, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a Pura Vida experience. Whether it was fishing in the pond, seeing the sloths, macaws, iguanas, turtles or herons it was fantastic. Their offers of fresh coconut, plantains, and fresh cane juice were well received. The host was amazing as well (and daughter Pamela as well)...one of the nicest families we have ever met.
