"We had a lovely week in this ancient, but brilliantly renovated cottage. Clean, cosy, but spacious, with a lovely log burner. Nothing about it was poky, and although there was only one room downstairs it was modern, and open plan, and we felt that we had masses of space - a family of four, plus dogs ! Perfect, sheltered garden, wonderful views, and within 5 mins of Leominster, and Bromyard - not much further to Hereford and Ludlow, although we headed to the hills of Kington, and Offas Dyke. Good...

Colwall Park Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"We had an awful 4 hour journey from Southport and arrived at the hotel feeling quite stressed. It didn’t help with the car park being full and we ended up parking at the local train station. When we checked in we mentioned the parking and immediately the manager, I think his name is Martin, said no problem I’ll move my car. Amazing! After that we calmed down and started to relax. Thank you Martin 👏This is a very nice homely hotel and all the staff made us feel at home. Our room was enormous with a very comfortable bed.and immaculate with excellent amenities. Our meal was delicious and good value for money. After a super good night sleep we went down for breakfast. My other half had the full English which he described as quality ingredients and I had smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, super yummy. I definitely recommend this hotel. We felt awful for behaving so grumpy , it’s not like us. Thank you to Martin and his lovely team and we would love to return (if you will have us)."

"Very relaxing overnight stay at The Malvern - Fionnula on the check in desk was so lovely and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and my partner and I felt very looked after. The room was clean and comfortable with plenty of toiletries provided. The spa itself is amazing with lots of different types of hot rooms and jacuzzi to relax in. I would definitely stay at The Malvern again! Thanks so much all."

"A friendly welcome. We arrived when the pub was busy but we were quickly seen and shown to our room. We were in room 1. The room was comfortable, with a fixed electric heater if required. Which we used in the morning and it quickly took the chill off the room. The bathroom was Ok, although clean the grouting in the shower needs some attention as it was dark with mould in parts, a spray with thin bleach would fix it. The electric towel rail was also faulty. However these are only minor issues, there was plenty of hot water and a good shower. The included breakfast next morning was excellent. All the staff we met were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if we were in Ledbury."

"The hotel was in an excellent location. The staff were very helpful and allowed us to check in 15 minutes early so that we could get to the theatre in plenty of time. Our twin room was spacious and very quiet. The beds were so comfortable and there was everything you could possibly need provided in the room. There was a great selection of food available at breakfast and the service was excellent. All in all it was a perfect break."

"Arrived at 15:10, couldn't get a coffee while waiting for room which wasn't meant to be ready until 15:30. We were able to get a drink from the bar so not all bad. The access road is narrow and steep with a few passing places, this does mean the hotel is a long way from the road so very peacefully. The restaurant has a very limited menu ,4 mains and 4 starters plus one special. The staff were very good, attentive and helpful. The accommodation was o.k. nothing outstanding. We have stayed in Malvern many times, this was our first time at the cottage in the wood, it is the most expensive option but it is not the he best Malvern hotel I have stayed in, I wouldn't avoid it but it isn't going to be my first choice either."
