“We booked a room to stay in for the night of our wedding, I communicated we would be checking in late around 10pm. The owner said that was fine and that we’d be able to check ourselves in. The check-in instructions were vague “once you enter the gate”... we were not given a gate code. Naively, I assumed we might not need a gate code or it would be emailed to us closer to the date or the owner would message us with it. We pulled up to the villa directly after our wedding.
