“It was an excellent place to stay. The bed was warm and comfortable. All the amenities included an A/C, heater, safe, etc. Incredible South African hospitality. Great breakfast in the morning with incredible tasting Omelette made to your preference. The property is nice, with a beautiful garden. Did I mention the great hospitality? They are the best host of people. Cudos to the Owner, Chris, and the manager, Allison. My stay at Highgrove made the trip to South Africa more enjoyable. ”

“We booked this place and were casually told that they had another family in the unit and so they were overbooked. All this happened last minute. If you choose to book this property, be aware that you can get bumped last minute and find yourself looking for another hotel in a foreign country. ”

“Just disappointed in the fact that there was really no sort of aircon or fan in the rooms which could get very hot at night but actually besides that the bathrooms where lovely and beds comfortable.”

“Checking was at 14h00 and only they gave us the key after 15h00. The place wasnt clean, mayonase in the oven, bathrooms dirty and the towels were still drying in the dryer. No soap or shampoo to bath. The place had a bad odour. Vomit in the passage outside the apartment without cleaning. We expected way more as it was supposed to be a presidential suite and penthouse, but we stayed on the 12 floor and there were 14 floors. What we paid for is not what we got. Im sorry but we wont recommend this……

“Dirty, had roaches, no items that a hotel apartment supposed to have. I left that same night and booked into a hotel as I was not able to sleep in that apartment. Still waiting to get refunded for that.”
