It's close enough to walk to restaurants in downtown Bar Harbor although we typically drove to places because we were exhausted from hiking and the parking in town was convenient. The 24/7 free coffee+snacks+water in the lobby were super convenient too, almost more convenient than a free breakfast buffet.
