Wonderful time

We liked it last year and this year was better due to most of the issue we had last year being addressed.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love the building and have stayed here many times. The unit could use a little TLC. Needs new blinds, cracked tiles in the bathroom, original cabinets need to be painted and the small bedroom needs a new bed. There is also a lump in the living room floor near the window, which was unsettling. The unit was clean and the management responsive.

Perfect location but house could be better

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was perfect. Beautiful! But the sheets were dirty, the showers outdated and kitchen sink leaked. We called property management and they came out and addressed the leak without a problem- they were wonderful! Overall I would stay within the building but would pick a different property.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything about the rental process was smooth. Communication was great. The room itself was OK, not nearly as nice as units we have had before, but it was also less expensive, so that is to be expected. Some amenities that were below average were: patio furniture, bar stools, lack of carpet kept sand everywhere. Also, one thing not related to the property that I would love to change- allow us to have golf carts! You issue every guest 2 passes, so it would be nice if they could use them for 1 car and 1 golf cart.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Always enjoy staying at Surf master and booking with Garden City Rentals. We stayed in room 1010 and some updates need done. Some of the blinds in the living area were down and laying on the floor, throw rug in master bath is old and needs replaced. Need more options for charging electronically devices, not enough or convenient placed outlets

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've be staying at the Surfmaster for over 20 years. It's our annual family vacation spot. This unit was new to us this year. The fan in the master bath didn't work. It looks like it hasn't worked in quite a while. We submitted a work order and they informed us that they had to order a part. (so, hopefully fixed for the next family). The vertical blinds need to be addressed (broken ones, bent ones, etc.). Surprised that the door wall did not lock. The floor looked nice, but I don't know what they clean it with, the soles of our feet were pretty dirty, we wore our slippers/socks on our feet all week. Lastly, I can't believe there was no garbage disposal!! We will definitely come back, probably not this unit though.

Great location.......but

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First of all it has a wonderful view of the ocean.....however, it needs up dating. I was without a washer/dryer for almost a month.. repairman came six times before owner purchased a new stackable unit. In the meantime year old refrigerator was not working correctly, good news after four visits from Whirlpool repair, I believe it will be replaced since it’s under warranty. The best is dealing with Garden City Realty. The office and maintenance staff went overboard to make sure that they took care of my needs regarding appliance issues. The condo needs better to supply mixing bowls, blender, a decent toaster, etc. The second bedroom needs to have the ceiling fixed and rehung. Room is very stuffy without.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time. Overall the condo was good and we will be renting this unit again. However, there definitely are improvements that should be made that would make a stay more enjoyable. Here are the items that come to mind. 1. The frying pans are not at all usable. Luckily, we read previous reviews so we brought our own.2. The refrigerator was very loud, irritating and ran 95% of the time.3. The ice maker was basically useless. While technically it did make ice, the bottom of the ice pan would partially fill with water and freeze to the cubes. We ended up using ice trays, which were already there.4. Many of the vertical blinds were missing or falling out. We had to be very cautious and rarely moved the blinds for fear more would fall out.5. The master bedroom bathroom exhaust fan did not work. We had to leave the door open so the mirror would defog.6. The washer machine made strange loud clunk sounds during certain cycles (even with a small light load) but it did seem to work ok.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the first time we stayed at Surfmaster-Oceanfront, but it won’t be the last. Condo was great, perfect views of the ocean. Perfect for our family of four. Also, we were moved to Surfmaster from our previous reservations due to unexpected construction. The property management team, specifically Heidi Wright, could not have possibly handled things any better. We will be back and will use Garden City Realty again.

Great ocean view and convenient to most things we wanted to do and places we wanted to visit. Only negatives were elevators worked somewhat sporadically, one of the pools was closed due to some maintenance issues and parking spaces were limited. All of these were offset by the property, the nice unit we stayed in and great location.

Had some issues with housekeeping but I called and they were out there within the hour to fix it. The condo was nice and kitchen stocked with whatever you needed. I feel the TVs could be updated as they weren’t smart TVs. Be prepared to find a spot on the beach early as the life guard sets up a bunch of chairs and umbrellas to rent. Overall we had a nice time.

Great Experience at Surfmaster unit 1010

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very happy with our choice to stay at the Surfmaster 1010. The unit was as described and in perfect order. We were there because of a baseball tournament so we found the in unit washer and dryer invaluable. Great View of Course from the unit! Hardly a wait for the elevators and the parking was not a problem at all which was a nice surprise because we have had troubles in the past at other Condos trying to find a place for our Crew Cab pick up. The one thing we found very bothersome was each night about 930pm other guests had started there very own fireworks displays until at least 11pm. Im talking morters exploding right off your balcony here, not firecrackers and sparklers. Very annoying.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay very much. The unit 1010 needs some attention, not as well equipped as we hoped. Pots and pans are lacking and also silverware could use more of that. We cook and eat in so we might be different than most guests. The unit was basically clean, however not as clean, nothing outstanding though. The unit needs some work, I did speak with staff about this and the housekeeping supervisor. None of this interfered with our vacation though, the location is great and the Surfmaster itself is a nice place to stay.

Hot tub that we enjoyed. The negatives.... Kitchen was very lacking in Silverware resulting in having to run dishwasher daily. Mattresses need to be replaced, lumpy and uncomfortable. Horrible flat pillows. The cleaning crew needs to step it up. From first day you can see where they’ve only cleaned “around furniture” not under it. Upon arrival there was not even a small size bottle of dish soap so you need to go to a store immediately. Spend a few dollars to make it more convenient for your guest. Communication With rental agency was professional, no issues there.
