"The hotel was centrally located in Amsterdam, right by the Rijksmuseum and Vondelpark. The room was very nice and the hotel was very clean. It had a bar and restaurant. The staff was very friendly. I only gave it a 4 because of the extra charges incurred at checkout. Due to VAT and city fees, we paid an extra $328 euros on checkout. A 3-night stay cost more than a 4-night stay in Paris at comparable hotels. "

"We had a great time at Banks Mansion! We had a canal view room, and it was lovely! The location is really central to so many things. Restaurants, the flower market, and the tram (to Central Station) are right up the block. The hotel itself is delightful! The breakfast each morning has a delicious variety of choices: fruits, yogurts, meats, cheeses, and an omelet station. The staff at breakfast is so friendly and accommodating. There is a 24-hour self-serve open bar with all you could ask for, as well as cookies or chocolates available all day. From 5:00 - 6:00 each night there is a most tasty cheese assortment and snack spread provided in the lobby/living room. Add to that, the free wine bar from 4:00 until midnight, and you really have it all. We enjoyed every second and hope to return!"
