Wonderful Stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed this home. We noticed a couple of things like small holes in the walls in a couple of rooms, 3 or 4 globes on the kitchen chandelier were broken and the connecting door on the deck to the other duplex was broken. Other than that, which really didn't affect us, we truly loved our stay. Thank you!

Family Reunion 2025

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As previously mentioned in other reviews, the location of this house cannot be beat! Quiet neighborhood, private beach, and waking up to the sights & sounds of the ocean were wonderful! We rented the whole house which was nice with 28 people. Each bedroom (12) having it's own bathroom was an bonus. Both upper and lower decks were perfect hangouts. With the exception of a few quality control issues such as torn cushions on pool chairs, rusty grills and some electrical outlets not working, this is a great property!

The location is great, the staff at Garden City Reality is always the best and every need was met in a timely manner. Our TV went out in our bedroom and my husband in a TV fanatic and the owner replaced it the next day. Garden City Reality in by far the best company we have rented from.

Also door didn't lock when we were checking out. Also the kitchen cookware needs to be replaced. It was very hard cleaning it because it was so old. I think the house needs some much needed remodeling. The outside of the place looks terrible and needing painting desperately. When we are paying that kind of money it should have what we need. Crock pot and some other kitchen essentials. This is our 4th time staying there and we love it there. Just FYI on this information. We aren't upset at all just wanted you to know. thanks

A great place to stay!

Large well stocked kitchen, lots of seating in the den & kitchen area. We enjoyed sitting on the decks watching the sunrise & activities on the beach. Lots of on site parking. Great location to be near restaurants, golf courses or the mall. We love staying here & definitely recommend it to anyone. Garden City Realty was easy to work with.

Wonderful location!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was perfect. Close to shopping and restaurants but secluded area of beach so it was not crowded and was quiet. That said, the house is starting to need repairs. Some of the lights were burned out, light switches that we could never figure out what they went to. Needs new paint job and dry wall repair in some of the rooms. Out door furniture was very uncomfortable. Felt like you were sitting in a lifeguard chair, very hard. Ice maker in the 2nd refrigerator did not work. It had a well stocked kitchen but no place to put the groceries you bought. Paint is chipping off the kitchen table. The televisions in the bedrooms were so tinny. Over all I guess it was worth the money, but definitely needs some TLC.

We had beautiful weather so we did not need rainy day activities but no puzzles, games etc. Deck seating very uncomfortable , heavy not conducive to seniors and kids. Great Location on the Beach!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Doctor's RX was a perfect location for an ocean getaway. The house was only a few steps from the beach. The pool at the front of the house was great! Very refreshing and a great size. Having 6 bedrooms with some rooms having more than one bed was a true advantage. Everyone had their own bed and bath which was great for our family of seven! Guests of this house will need to be careful walking on the walkway to the beach as there were a few loose and wobbly boards. The last step to the beach was broken. Guests will also need to know that any types of canopies or baby tents are not allowed at this beach, which we were not aware of and with an 11 month old, made it a bit more difficult. We flew to the area and did not bring any of our own utensils, etc. If you are traveling by car, and you are planning on cooking at the house, you may want to bring a couple pots and pans, sharp knives, a covered casserole or cooking dish, and your own blender as many of these items were in poor shape. The vacuum cleaner was also outdated and not very good at cleaning up sand tracked in. Note: the floors were a bit sandy when we arrived as well. There are brooms and dustpans available. Despite some of these inconveniences, we would recommend Doctor's RX as a place to stay at Surfside Beach. We truly had a memorable and relaxing vacation at this home away from home. P.S. Make sure you check out Meyers Ice Cream right down the road - it's an experience you don't want to miss!

awesome beach spot for family

We celebrated a family wedding 5 houses down; wasn't a far walk at all from Dr.'s RX. The house was well-equipped with kitchen needs. The 2nd refrigerator was so appreciated! We certainly put it to great use. The pool is a great asset to the property. I would definitely stay here again! Favorite restaurants were not far (Gulfstream Cafe in Garden City has a great "early bird" menu that we wished we had called in for take out earlier in the week, so we could stay on the beach into dinner time):)Also loved Wicked Tuna in Murrells Inlet

Rain rain go away!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Doctors RX is a lovely, comfortable home. It has everything you need for a great Vacation. The view is gorgeous. The bedding was in great Condition. Decorated nicely. Our biggest dissapointment was The rainy weather. The only other that didn't work out great for Our family was the location, only because we like to use Our golf cart and you cannot from this location. It was a change From our usual MB vacation. The other thing that was Unique was that the majority of the week my kids were the only ones On the beach during the day for as far as you could see. So if you're looking for a quiet vacation, this is A prime location. The view is five star, the location And shared pool were not ideal for our family.

Reviewer Comments: this was our 9th year at either Doctor's orders or Doctor's RX....the place is great for our 2 families...the furniture had been cleaned from last year which was a must....not sure how the floors were cleaned but walking barefoot on them created very dirty feet...I would not walk barefoot in the house because of that...other small repairs were needed....broken chain in tank of toilet...non working vent fan in a bathroom and ice maker not working in refrigerator...reported at check out.....we really love this property but the price is getting so high per week we are not sure about next summer...waiting to see what rates will be for 2013......

Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: A week at Doctors Rx was just what the doctor ordered for a family to reunite. This beach house is big enough to accommodate a large family with everyone having their own bedroom and bath. We were happy to find that there were not just showers but bathtubs which came in handy for the one year old and three year old. The maintenance staff was very prompt in responding to the few issues that we had and very courteous in handling them. Although we live in Myrtle Beach this was as relaxing a week for us as it was for our New York family.
