Great beach house for large families.

This house was very clean and well kept. Had plenty of seating inside and out by the pool. Had access to pool toys and other things. It also had plenty of pots and pans which was such a relief.

Great spot to unwind

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were a little hesitant to come from Canada given the current political structure but Myrtle Beach didnt disappoint nor did this rental. Our purpose was golf and it was 20-30 minutes from everywhere we played. Groceries and good restaurants a short walk away. The place was clean, well stocked and as described.

Perfect for a Golf Group

Golf group of 8 was perfect because everyone had their own room, but could handle more if you wanted to double up. Big gathering area and pool was an extra bonus.

Best Family Gathering

Great Time At Cape Myrtle

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hello, myself and my Golf buddies stayed 9 nights at Cape Myrtle and had a great time. The location, pool in the backyard and condition of the property was outstanding. The arrival check-in was seamless, everything was as described. The size and setup of the House met our needs and we were very happy with how close the location was to all the things we like to do! We are already planning next year and hope to be back if the property is available!

Check in was delayed due to previous renters trashing the place. Lights in pool and yard didn’t work. Gas grill only worked on one side. Beautiful home and location. Need to bring your own cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels etc

Cape House

The house was in a decent location, but the floors and a good portion of the house was pretty dirty. Some of the ceiling fans didn’t work and the couch had so many springs you couldn’t sit anywhere without being uncomfortable. The toilet seats were pretty beaten up. Pretty disappointed overall.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: As you can tell by the title, the house was everything we needed it to be. A getaway for 8 ladies in need of some rest and relaxation. We walked to the beach, and was a short distance for anything else we needed or wanted. We had to grandmothers who were ready to book a vacation ,just for the pool alone. There was enough room for families to be together or apart.

Awesome Thanksgiving Retreat!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I enjoyed our time here at the Cape Myrtle Retreat house! There was enough space for everyone without anyone feeling crowded. There were some minor issues that were quickly resolved by the owner that did not interfere with our stay! We were able to complete our Thanksgiving dinner in a timely manner as there were two kitchens which allowed all the cooks to work together to get things done! It was a truly enjoyable time and we plan to return next year!!

Located just a short walking distance from the beach and 30 minutes from most things you might want to visit. I brought my entire family including great-grandkids and we had a great time. Pool fun every night we were there. Tracy at Owner Direct was a gem helping us with all our questions! We will be back again!! I highly recommend staying at this house and using Owner Direct!

Myrtle Family Reunion

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house itself was fine, the kitchen needs to be upgraded, specially the stove, but everything else was comfortable.Great location, walking distance to the beach, restaurants and stores. The only complaint that I have is with the owners pool tech. He was rude, had a few inappropriate comments and would just walk in without introducing himself. The property management sent the cleaning crew at 8:15AM, even though I stated I was leaving at 10AM.

Overpriced Old Smelly Shack - to far to walk to beach

Way, Way , Way overpriced. Plywood for bed frames. This place hadn't been updated since the 80s. The best thing about the place was the shed.

Nice place but poor customer service experience

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family made a reservation in 2020 and extended the reservation until 2022 because of high Covid rates in the MD area. We enjoyed the location and overall, were fairly satisfied with the property. Several things were not working in the property when we arrived, however (eg, shower head in one bathroom). Additionally, be prepared to take all your trash off the premises as there is no trash service provided. Renter beware: be prepared to be charged for items that you may not have broken as well, or items that were already in disrepair and experienced normal wear and tear - we were charged for a broken pool net which we didn't touch, and a broken plastic pool chair that was already in rough shape.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property is in a great location, close to supermarket, shopping, food etc. large enough to accommodate our family and friends of 20. The beach is about 8 minutes walk. The kids enjoyed the pool very much. If you are in the area you must try Melts ice cream. The house overall is in need of up grade. One bathroom upstairs has no shower head, we were told by management that its a bath and not a shower which made it very inconvenient for the adults using that specific one. House keeping needs to do a better job at cleaning, we had to call to get the shower curtain changed which was very dirty. Management was prompt in getting someone to the house to get it changed. House was very dusty with a moldy smell. There were multiple small roaches in the downstairs kitchen. Utensils that were used prior to our arrival were placed back in drawer and knife holder without being washed, very disgusting. Overall, house is not bad, management needs to supervise closely to ensure cleanliness and upgrading when needed

Stay far away! Not worth it. The garbage rules are garbage...

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We showed up on a Sunday, trash containers were full from either the previous rental or owners. I put out their trash on the curb on Monday night before generating a full bag myself. I'm then not allowed to use the trash can for the rest of the trip because we are leaving on the following Sunday and this rental does not allow any trash to be left on the premises otherwise I'm charged $200 to $300. Furthermore, North Myrtle Beach offers short-term rental trash pickup, but either the owner nor the rental agency opted to pay for that. So then for a house that could potentially hold 16 people I'm running trash to the local dump everyday. And guess what? They aren't open on Sunday morning so then I have to deal with how to get all the trash that we generate while cleaning up the house. If I wanted a campground experience I would have been at a campground. This rental costs way too much to deal with that. I've stayed at dozens of places in Myrtle Beach and this was by far one of the worst for my family reunion. We will never stay here again and nor will I ever recommend it.Otherwise the house was really missing polish, water pressure on showers were bad, remotes with the Roku situation were pretty bad. For two kitchens they are very poorly stocked. Pots and pans are cheap, warped and sparse. No ice makers in either fridge. Roku remotes, if they worked sometimes operated two TVs at once. Thank God I brought a fire stick.The ad says over 5,000 square feet and I can promise you there are actually probably including the pool area, I would say maybe 2800 ft tops. Borderline false advertising. Check-in checkout process is about as antiquated and weird as you can get.Just steer clear the polish and value isn't there.

Another Successful Family Thanksgiving!
