The property is due for an overhaul, it's outdated, Fans have built up dust on them. Problems with water, but they did come deal wth that immediately. The woman I dealt wth wth my phone calls and texts, was always in communication wth me, which is a great thing. The balcony was great though to sit there outside, enjoying the water.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Palms condo, managed by Suites at the Beach. The pool was nice and warm, and access to the beach was excellent. The parking was across the street, but very convenient. The custodian was very helpful with what we needed. We had one major problem. The previous visitors had peed all over the sofa bed. It was on the mattress, so we didn't smell it at first. I called the contact person and the custodian showed up right away to take away the mattress and spray down the sofa. The sofa was then too wet to sit on, so we asked for towels and turned on the ceiling fan and went out for awhile. Needless to say the sofa wasn't very comfortable after that. The guy did all he could, but the contact never offered, or mentioned another sofa. Which leads me to think all that will be replaced is the mattress. The previous visitors could have had the courtesy to let them know about the problem. It certainly was not fair to us, or the owners to put up with this.

I have never stayed at such a narrow room. No ice anywhere. Laundry washer took $2 in quarters. Attendants were useless. And check in has you remembering 3 codes.

The shower was either scalding hot or cold. No in between. Called and the Maintenace man said he would need a plumber. No one showed up. Mattresses was terrible. I slept with my head at the foot of the bed because the mattress sloped toward the head board. Wife slept on couch. We left a day early.

When we went to check in we were struck with a pee smell at the front desk. Not a great impression for when guests are checking in. Pictures shown are not depicted of what the rooms actually look like. The only modern looking room was the living room. Everything else was outdated and dirty!! The first thing I noticed was the dirty fitted sheets that covered both beds. The bathtub also looked like it needed a good cleaning. A lot of grime could be seen on the shower handle bars. The lightbulb also needed to be changed. It kept flickering on and off. For someone with epilepsy this could pose as a great danger. When I opened up the closet door the handle fell right off. There was also a huge whole in the closet that looked like it was plugged up with plywood. The outside of the hotel looks like it needs to be completely renovated as well. The doors are accessed with a pin pad code and don’t have latches on them. We ended up stacking our suitcases against the door for extra security. We tried using the pool outside but the water was strangely like warm and didn’t smell like chlorine. Because of this we didn’t even bothering trying the hot tubs. The only positives of the hotel is it’s location is right along the beach so it makes for a convenient travel. The balcony was nice but could have used a light. Very disappointed with my stay here. Avoid this place!!

The property was not in good shape. Peeling paint, lights out, door frame loose, cracked porch chairs. It felt old and not what I thought (given the pictures) what I was paying for. Other visitors stated the same feelings about the Palms in general.

Penthouse afforded beautiful views but unit was very dated. Neither sliding glass door locked, the oven was dirty and the oven door handle came off which resulted in the oven door cover being in the floor. Grab bar in master bedroom was not secure and would detach when used. Beds and furniture were comfortable. Cookware/utensils were limited and carpet was very dirty. Big plus is drifting off to sleep listening to the crashing of the waves!

The ONLY thing Good about my stay here was the Magnet on the back of the door that keeps the door open! Out of everything in the room that was THE BEST!! IT WAS LIKE I WENT TO RENT SPACE A THE THRIFT STORE!! THAT OLD BED SPREAD! THE COUCH WAS HORRIBLE!! NOW THE KITCHEN...OKAY THE BATHROOM WAS NICE AND SMALL!! BUT THE KICKER WAS THE BED IN THE WALL. I MEAN!!! ALL IN ALL THE MAGNETS BEHIND THE DOOR TO KEEP IT OPEN WAS REALLY CUTE! AND THE VIEW OUTSIDE OF COURSE IS ALWAYS GREAT!!

Dirty, outdated, uncomfortable. HARD PASS.
The view from the room was great, but so are the views from all of the Myrtle Beach beachfront hotels. The location is good. It's on the water, on the main strip. We stayed in room 1403, and it was nasty! Filthy, stinky, no extras (such as games, books, or movies) and structurally it had cracks, peeling paint, and mold in several places. The beds were obviously the cheapest most uncomfortable beds thar could be provided. There's no cable tv, just a few standard def channels received via an antenna. This place is extremely run down and seriously needs some upgrades and upkeep. This place is a HARD PASS. Book elsewhere.

When I got there it looked like the place had not been cleaned at all. I was very skeptical about sleeping in the bed. The oven was disgusting, the bathroom was disgusting, the floors were sticky in the patio was a mess

The view was incredible. It was quiet and has the necessary stuff to cook dinner. Slept on one bed all weekend. When I tried the other it had a roach in it.

Things I recommend, bedroom was dark, need more lighting. Air conditioner was leaking in balcony, add a rubber mat. Balcony chairs feel flimsy.

This place is definitely older. So is the property all needs to be updated. As far as the view of the beach it is amazing The pictures definitely misrepresented the condo. It was an ok stay. Everything was old, there were only 2 matching glasses just a very basic stay

Keyless entry was a plus when it worked there were roaches in our room and our tv had a very small picture didn’t fit the screen no way of fixing it the air conditioners filters were filled with lint and filth they drained on our balcony water everywhere we had to constantly sweep it off our balcony the couch pull out bed was like being in a jail cell cot the jacuzzi tub was a blast except for the man who watched the clock and made us get out 15-20 minutes before closing it dishes were slimy bathroom tub handle was broken the oven was filthy the cupboards were hard to open sticky the one bedroom upon entering half the wood was missing as if it was opened bye cops kicking in the door it would’ve been nicer if they had cleaning ladies being on vacation the last thing you want to do is clean every day all and all we managed considering the price didn’t match the value of our room

Meh!
At first sight the room was nice. Plenty of space, nice view, location and clean kitchen. The support bar in the shower is missing. Our first night my 9 year old would not stop coughing and sneezing. The next day he was very congested. I decided to check the AC filters. The AC unit in the main living space was clean. The filter in the bedroom was extremely dirty. See pictures. I could not clean it because I am allergic to dust. I puked the filters out al left it in the AC unit so it could be cleaned by maintenance. That was my main disappointment. Now that we are home my son is feeling better. Check in was fast and easy.

We had asked for not room service/cleaning and no one to enter out room. When we returned from being out, someone had dropped off towels in a bag. There were dust bunnies on the wall. There was absolutely no soundproofing for room. It was loud from traffic in room, especially at night. It was on the beach and a nice view. The toilet flush handle was very inconveinent.

This was supposed to be a 4* hotel but was NOT! The place had rust everywhere and mold in the bathroom. Hot water was hard to come by. The pool was closed w/ no communication. The room looked like an old Motel 8. It was gross. I'm glad I didn't book it for a client. Just embarrassing

My husband and i thought bringing the kids to a beachfront penthouse would be a lit experience. Although the views were amazing, there was alot of mold in the master bdrm and there werent many pots and pans to cook. The bed was completely uncomfortable and worn out. We also couldnt park our mopeds and golf carts on the premises which was an inconvenience. I just think it was way to much money for what it was.

Details make a difference, splattered appliances, a plate with food left in microwave, toilet chain dislodged led to noticing tank full of black mold, good news there were no noticeable bugs and view was great. Lots of maintenance was happening on pool roof etc noise

Not worth it , needs updating
This place was a joke. The check in process was rough. You had to call there was no front desk. It's basically a hotel room changed into a condo . It's small . The bathroom is so tiny you can barely turn around in it. The living room furniture was so low to the floor that it was rough to get in and out of. The wall outlets were lose. There were water stains in the ceilings from water damage. The moulding wasn't cut right and they didn't fix it they left it wrong. Wasn't happy. The pool was small. The hot tub had alage growing on it. Over all just not happy with this place and won't be back. They even left our door open when they came in to change out the towels. Unbelieveable.

Great location, outside of building very nice. Check in was in the parking lot, not at a desk. Room was nothing like the pictures, hair everywhere all the drains, kitchen counters, even the fridge. The tubs wouldn't hold water, ceiling was chipping. Curtains fell down onto my stepdaughters head in the middle of the night. Neighbors were doing drugs and stinking up our room. Just wasn't what I expected for the money I paid. Will not be back to this property.
