We have stayed at this property multiple times. The location and pool are wonderful! Unfortunately we were not impressed with the property upkeep and maintenance this time! We were told at check in not to use the dryer—and that someone would be by to fix it Sunday or Monday. Nobody showed. The housekeeping staff was on site when we got there and noted an issue with a dishwasher. It smelled awful! Someone was supposed to come fix it. Again. Nobody showed! I called Tuesday and someone showed up to fix both appliances that afternoon. However the dishwasher was still stinky so we bought disposable tableware. The same appliances were problematic 2 years ago for us, and it is obviously an ongoing issue. Later in the week, the house was infested with bugs! After multiple calls for service and a good chunk of time spent squishing bugs, an exterminator arrived. He sprayed, but he couldn’t prevent a recurrence until a faulty door seal and space along the porch ceiling were repaired. No one showed to fix the door before we checked out. Other small issues were loose fixtures, wobbly chair legs (a chair collapsed!), loose and falling off door handles and tub fixtures, a ceiling fan not secured to the ceiling...I will say, GCR management did give us a partial refund, but I’m really hoping such issues are fixed so we can continue to stay at Sunspree!
