"Very convenient location just across from the train station. The room was quite spacious by Japanese standard. The staff at the concierge desk was very helpful and went out of his way to assist us. Breakfast was OK but not excellent with a reasonable selection of both western and Japanese food."

"For people complaining about small rooms in Japan, I would have to say this is on par with the size that I stayed in both Kyoto and Asakasa. The washer dryer machine inside was clutch. They even provided the laundry detergent! I couldn't figure out how to use it and the girl downstairs actually came up and helped me set up the machine. The staff here was so friendly and the coolest thing is the hotel is in walking distance to the castle and Samurai village and also the fish market."

Loved having so many shopping and dining options within walking distance. Clean, spacious and well laid out room. Laundry located in the room was especially convenient after long travels. Will book here again when we next return to Takayama. Highly recommended!"
