「The living room with lots of comfortable seating and an amazing view was our favorite space! The river was beautiful at all times of day and it was so cool to see the freighters going by, early morning in the fog was my favorite. The bedrooms were lovely and comfortable. 「This cabin is pristine. The pictures didn’t do it justice. Our host Dan was great with communication. Very responsive to any and all questions and even took time to share about the area history. Dan thought of everything. No detail was left out. We will definitely stay here again. Such a wonderful experience. My only regret was we didn’t stay longer. 」

「My partner, dog and I came to sugar island to experience a new place in the UP and we will certainly be returning to Sweet Retreat!! Sheri and Jeff were the most accommodating of hosts and truly go above and beyond to ensure everyone’s comfort and fun. We used the bikes on the property and were lucky enough to take a pontoon cruise with the hosts our last night. The cabin was absolutely adorable and had everything we needed. I couldn’t recommend staying here enough! We can’t wait to come back!」
