“If you need a place to lay your head…not too terrible. Theres a Walmart, a cute coffee shop and good restaurants. But if you’re looking for quality, cleanliness or the feeling of privacy, it’s not great. Staff was helpful though. ”

“Not what pictures portray. Living in Michigan my entire life I think all of mackinaw city has depleted in cleanliness and price gauging. We booked a “superior room” which means nothing like the photos. We were told it’s just a standard queen with a water view balcony. The room was so dirty.. mold in the shower on the ceilings, stains on the sheets, filthy lampshades. The lady at the front desk was as nice as she could be and the manager moved us over one room.. slight cleanliness improvement as……

“You get what you pay for and I probably wouldn’t stay here again. Wall unit in the room was super loud. Housekeeping didn’t notice someone’s boxer briefs balled up behind the slider door curtain. The hot tub was tiny and jets weren’t working. It was just meh. They’re remodeling the rooms nicely but it’s still a motel.”

“The room and the property were very nice as usual. But I was very disappointed that the pool had been filled in. Also, things have changed for check in. Apparently there is no one on the premises most of the time, and there is a sign on the door for a number to call. I guess we missed the personal touch that we experienced in the past. We will not return.”

“From the outside it looks like a nice place, the room was clean but there were ants in the bathroom. There was a fridge in the closet but no microwave, the room was dark as there is only one lamp on the nite table. The room is sadly lacking ac outlets and no lamp near the table. We have never seen a coffee pot like the one there, when you pour the coffee it leaks out over everything, also there was only one pack of coffee, we had to go ask for more. Also nothing but powdered creamer, yuk! For……

“An old motel updated. Clean, quiet, comfortable with friendly staff and an easy drive to St Ignace.”

“The room was spacious and had a nice view of the lake. I couldn't get a good night's sleep because it was so loud. Not that there were loud people, but because the building is so old and poorly insulated that you can hear everything happening in other rooms like it's in your room.”

“1st...just trying to get the door opened..they give you the code but don't tell you about the other buttons that need to be pushed/used...2nd...you had to body slam yourself to get the door open. The carpet and floor are so warped the door wouldn't open or close without a body slam..the door wouldn't lock . The 4 batteries in the door fell out when you either open or closed the door..3rd..it was very damp in the room..4th..no hot/cold symbols on the water handles..it took awhile to figure out……
