"My wife had pretty much a background check on her to include a requested copy of her DL and a selfie of herself (a little intrusive), it was a first for us when renting on VRBO. Despite this, the owners communicated well and the property was great…being very close to a beautiful beach was a plus."

"What a gift to stay in this home - terrific location, wonderful decor, and stocked with everything needed. Our first trip to the Oregon coast and we were already making plans to return before our trip had ended. Rockaway Beach is a quintessential coastal town and everyone we encountered was so friendly. Loved that this home was just a few minutes from the town center to feel private and just off the 101 to get to destinations north and south very easily. Thank you for sharing your lovely place, we hope to return!"

"Quiet community home near the beach which was the perfect location for both exploring the Oregon coast and relaxing morning walks on the beach. The home was clean and comfortable. The rental process was the easiest we have had in VRBO and I love that they supplied everything we needed. I would definitely rent this home again! Our family is sad to be leaving. Thank you for all the little things you are doing to help families enjoy their time in Rockaway Beach."

"There were a few issues at check in but the communication was very fast. There was someone there by morning to address the issues. The hot tub needed cleaned out. The cover is broken and getting insulation in the hot tub which could damage it. The kitchen was well stocked but there were no dish cloths just a sponge which I don’t find very sanitary. The layout was great for our needs. The sheets were clean and the bed slept decent. Overall, the house could use some freshening up. The carpet leading upstairs & the upstairs didn’t looked swept. The towels looked stained and dirty. We washed the wash cloths a few times and they looked better. This home could be spruced up a bit to make it even better. It did meet our needs for this stay and we would rent again."

"We’re not ones to normally complain, but there were a few things that affected our review. The cleaners were not done at check in at 4. We arrived to trash bags and the floors dirty and no one at the location. The cleaner showed back up at 4:02 and said all she needed to do was vacuum unless “we were ok with how it was”. Obviously we were not. We waited outside until 4:20 when she came out and said she was done. Upon going back inside it was clear the floors were still dirty. Upstairs not vacuumed. Full dishwasher. The beds were made but the sheets didn’t seem clean and like there was sand in them. Toilets were dirty. Make sure you bring toiletries because there was not shampoo etc as advertised. The trash can outside was packed full and emitting a strong fish odor by the hot tub. We made the best of it and cleaned up what we could. Other than the space not being quite ready, it was quite comfortable for our stay. Great for the beach, and coming back for a fire after a day in tillamook."

"We give this property 5 stars overall. If I may offer a bit of constructive feedback though? We rented this property originally in May, due to illness had to postpone and the host was incredibly quick to respond and solution oriented. 5 stars! This property location and views are amazing. We close it for working business retreat due to 3 bedrooms and 3 baths- open kitchen and living room. All that 5 stars. Area for improvement, the car charger is in the garage and garage door is broken so it’s unusable. Broken fireplace which was in instructions but so nice to have on chilly beach nights. The door lock situation was really broken. I’d advise a lock smith or keys with code options, which was offered eventually but would have been nicer to just get in the house at the appropriate check in time. Pillows in all the beds very old and hard; a quick trip to Costco could really upgrade the sleeping experience along with newer linens. Thicker fuller bath towels would have made the complete two day experience more enjoyable & comfortable. I still give this property 5 stars because the views from the crows nest is just stunning for sunsets!"
