"We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was spacious, comfortable, clean and had ample parking. Not only were all the usual necessities provided, but there were also some surprise snacks awaiting us. The home is conveniently located and our host was very informative and helpful with quick responses. We enjoyed mine tours, train museums, hiking, and shopping. The Crystal Hermitage Gardens made a perfect backdrop for family photos and our out-of-state relatives particularly enjoyed the area....

"What a great house! Larger/nicer than it looks in photos and super clean. It was very comfortable and we had two families with 5 kids total. Minutes away from skiing at Tahoe Donner. Bring your own board games, pantry staples, and throw blankets. It was not well stocked, otherwise highly recommended."

The location is fantastic in a quiet neighborhood and right next to a beautiful creek. It was very clean and had pretty much everything you would need to cook a meal."

"Beware some bathrooms have no privacy if you are sharing rooms with friends. One needs to leave the bed room to allow for privacy. One of our party left their I-watch there and was unable to retrieve it. Find my watch was showing it there and that someone charged it. The host was unable to find it through his housekeeping staff. So either the next guest took it or the house keepers kept it."

"We had a lovely stay for a long three day weekend. 3 adults total and were comfortable and had enough space thanks to 2 bathrooms. The host was very friendly, turning on the heater so the house was warm before we got it! She was also available for any questions over our stay. Extra points for the mini shampoo/lotions in the bathroom, nice little touch. The area is quiet, perfect for a peaceful getaway. Enjoyed seeing some of the neighborhood dogs and cats. "My family had a wonderful winter stay at the Serene Lakes cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to cook and relax, and it is just 10 minutes to Sugar Bowl resort where we spent most of our time skiing. The kids also loved playing in the snow and walking to the frozen lake across the street. It snowed A LOT, but the driveway was always cleared in the morning with enough time for us to get the first lift! thanks for a great stay."

"We enjoyed our stay at the Capone Getaway. This 5 bedroom/3 bathroom house plus a loft provided plenty of space for our family gathering. The kitchen is filled with everything we needed plus some. The location was perfect for us in Soda Springs. A few drawbacks were: (1) The cabin entry was very icy so we had to remove and de-ice the iced over rubber mats before our family arrived so no one would slip getting into the cabin; (2) Some of the beds were too soft and pillows should be...

"This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed; the rooms are clean with tons of character. I love the style and the history of the place. There is a yard with a large outdoor kitchen and other fun games and stuff. Great for the kiddos! I'd like to find a reason to go back to the area just so that I can stay at this place again! And the American River is just right down the road (if you don't mind driving a gravel road). Love it and would definitely recommend! "

"Overall wonderful. Great location with some traffic noise from the freeway across the yard. Some foot traffic noise above us upstairs. Maybe slippers are in order to reduce the noise. Both times we stayed here the bathroom tub has a very slow drain. This time, the towels were rough, just in from hanging outdoors. Soft and cushy is best. We love the lighting in the yard and fairy light projection touch!"
