Tranquil River Access!

The condo was clean and well-appointed, the property was cool with 2 pools and 4 hot tubs, but for us, the best part was the trail leading down to the river itself. A perfect spot to just sit and listen to the water and the birds, but also great for swimming and cooling off. It felt like our own personal paradise!

Excellent Property Management Company

We have stayed at the Waterwheel Condos going back many years and all have been managed by the same Management company. They have a very consistent track record - all of our stays have been wonderful - the property is clean, maintained, well-furnished and appointed for cooking/grilling onsite. The location of this property is great - right on the water with water access, and in a nice shady (and fast water) spot on the Guadalupe.

Great spot on the river

This was a last minute booking due to the hurricane messing up our plans to go to Rockport. The host was very accommodating and answered all questions. The place was perfect. Great spot on the river. We played in the river all day right by the condo. Perfect spot to put in tubes and tube down the river, get out and do it again. The pools and hot tubs were great too. So far, this was one of the best spots we’ve been.

Very clean 1st floor unit

The unit was well stocked and very clean. I appreciate being able to bring the dogs as well since one is getting up there in age and doesn't do well with boarding. Vrbo app had issues but the office was able to promptly help.

The location was great, and we loved having pool and river access. The inside, however, is in need of some deep cleaning and updates. Beds were very uncomfortable, visible stains and stuff on comforter, lots of dust build up, and overall just grungy. We never had working wifi access and never received communication back about it.

Wonderful location. Great place to be able to be close to the water park and all the amenities near by. My dog loved the extra space to enjoy the nature and the river. The condo was spacious and very welcoming.

Perfect location

The property was very nice! A huge balcony to enjoy overlooking the community property. The swimming pool was heated so we got swim which was a plus for the kids while the adults enjoyed the hot tub. We would definitely stay again

Great Stay

This is our 2nd time staying at this property. It's a wonderful location with a balcony where you can see deer roaming around almost every evening. Primary bed was very comfortable and walk to pool/river was short. River entrance is good for just being able to hang out and play in this area. Loved our stay here.

Family Vacation

Location is amazing! Close to everything including river access. We took tubes and just hung out by the condo a few days. Will Definitely stay here again. Patio overlooking property was also very nice. Lots of deer running along the property.

Really nice facility

The property is really nice. Short walk down to the river, ice pool that’s sets back from the units so you don’t hear the noise all night. We sat out on the balcony in the evenings and saw lots of deer. We’d be happy to stay here again.

Wurstfest Weekend

Group of 6 adults visiting for Wurstfest loved both the property, the condo, and the perfect location in New Braunfels. It was a short walk to Wurstfest, and even shorter to Schlitterbahn. Would 100% recommend!

Nice Condo

We enjoyed our stay at this condo. It was big enough for our family to spread out. We brought our dog and we liked walking down to the river. We went to Schlitterbahn and this location was so close. The beds were comfortable. The big kitchen table allowed time together with friends. We will definitely stay again!

Awesome experience!

This property overlooks the pool and hot tub and BBQ grills. Just a few steps past that is the Guadalupe River. We were able to fish from there and put tubes in the water to float down. There was plenty of room and seating, both indoor and on the patio for my big family. The property owners were extremely helpful and had so many things available for use at the property. Next time we visit New Braunfels, this will be the only place I'll be staying!

Boudreaux Blast!

My husband and I wanted a fun getaway together before he’ll be gone a couple weeks for work. The condo was clean with nice decor. Although it was just the two of us, the second bedroom comfortably sleeps two-three more. The porch is large with a beautiful view with trees that lead to the Guadalupe. It’s nice that the pool and hot tubs are near the river. After sitting in the water that evening, we closed the night with a dip in the hot tub before getting ready for 💤. We can’t wait to return. Good times ❤️

Great little condo

The property was very nice. I stayed with my husband and 4 kids, ages 13, 10, 4 and 4. King bed was very comfortable. Every night we watched deer from the balcony. This was a first floor unit, but it was still elevated enough to get a nice view, so it was perfect (no walking up a ton of stairs, easy/short walk from car to door). The property was nice, pool was not too crowded, and river access was perfect. Could get in the river there in little coves and the kids could play in the water without being swept away. It was wonderful!

Weekend getaway

Everything was very nice. We had stayed here before and loved the location and loved that we could walk to the river from our location. The only thing if I had to say anything is that the a/c bent in the living room constantly made a noise, both sinks in the bathrooms would not drain properly and the batteries on all the remotes were very weak. However I did messages Kara about these things and she promptly messages me back. She offered to send maintenance over the next day but I told her we had already gotten use to the noise and the other issues were minor and said it wasn’t necessary to fix. Overall very nice stay. Our family enjoyed our last summer getaway.

Girls getaway

Went for a girls weekend. Kara was great and good at communication. However, when we checked in the room had not been cleaned since last tenants. Beds were not ready, floors dirty, etc. Although a huge inconvenience it was fixed within 15 minutes when cleaners showed up. Multiple people failed to do their job in ensuring the place was ready for guests. This was fixed by waiving our cleaning fee, although i felt like the inconvenience was worth more at least they made right by it. The condo had a hard time cooling and keeping up. It stayed a steady 78-80 degrees in the house while set at 72. I’m from South Tx so I’m very familiar with our hot summers and importance of a/c maintenance. I would’ve thought they would make sure everything was in working condition and cooling condition before having tenants. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were good size. Property wise, the pool was nice but was warm as a hot tub is at top of the pool and seemed the water flowed into the lower pool portion, making the water warm. Also, pool not kept very clean. All in all, it was a comfortable place to rest your body for the night and the living space was nice to hang out in. Loved the balcony.

Great little apartment

Less than 5 minutes from schlitterbahn. Tubing entrance/exit in the backyard. The Backyard is beautiful with grills available throughout. Management was available at all time and were very friendly. Only downfall was noisy neighbors upstairs, it was just decently cleaned, master bed was uncomfortable and no coffee filters to go with the starter coffee they had available. Overall My family and I enjoyed our stay.

Another Great Trip at Water Wheel

We love this property due the pool and hot tubs and access to the Guadalupe and Comal Rivers. We brought our paddle board to enjoy the water. Also love that it is pet friendly.

Used as home for 6 weeks

Start not too good. Not ready at 4pm. Was not cleaned up yet. But we checked in anyway since no where else to go. So I cleaned the bathrooms and swept and mopped the floors. Put our own sheets on bed which I washed every week while there. Washed theirs and left them folded on bed when we left. After clean up the place was a great place to stay. I'm sure they normally have it cleaned up prior to next check in. Open living area nice so you don't feel confined. A bit noisy on weekends as expected. Nice and plenty kitchen items and towels. Dog loved the large yard.
