“The place was clean and had everything we needed. However, the owner of the property was there, all day every day. He was doing landscaping, or working on his boat in the backyard. It kind of felt like he was keeping tabs and it was a bit uncomfortable. He arrived each morning and went home for supper (as they don't live in the other half of the duplex). “We found out at our arrival that the cottage (house) was built in 1900. The kitchen was fine but the floors were very old and the stairway was noisy when in use. When asked about a fire alarm we were told in a rude manner by the owner to go out and buy one. It is actually illegal not to have one. Two days after leaving I received a text from the owner accusing us of robbing him of all of his zip lock bags. Really!! Although the house is very well situated and maybe wonderful for some, it is……
