The house was immaculately clean and cozy, it was very private and quiet, had all the amenities for cookings that we needed. The landscaping and property were very well maintained and lovely. There is a nice little porch off of the kitchen which is also a very nice space. Ceiling fans throughout. Walking distance to the beach. Owners were pleasant and easy to reach. We had a great time and will be back!

This was an amazing stay in New Buffalo. Perfect location with a short walk to the beaches and the perfect cabin vibes. Had everything we needed AND more. Clean and an amazing host who communicated well. Looking forward to our next stay.

Perfect lake cottage for cozy family trip!

Patty’s cottage was EXACTLY what we were hoping for. The cottage was exceptionally clean, comfortable and cozy. The perfect size for traveling with 2 teens- enough space to spread out, but close enough to gather for meals in kitchen and s’mores in the beautiful and magical garden. Close to the beach and in a lovely walking neighborhood. Highly recommend!

Absolutely beautiful property! The house was very cute. Our family of 6 felt like we had enough space for all of us to hang out & sleep. The sunroom was a nice bonus as well. The outside area was stunning & we enjoyed spending time outside every evening under the lights. The house was stocked with everything we needed - kitchen utensils/pots/pans/dishes, bathrooms had plenty of towels & shampoo/conditioner in the shower, extra blankets/sheets in bedrooms. Beach chairs & towels were also provided. Our kids loved using the outdoor shower! Upon our arrival the washer wasnt working which would have been nice to know in advance. Also the ac unit in the living room didn't seem to be working properly which was fine this weekend since it wasnt too hot during our stay. Overall, this place is amazing and we are already planning on staying here next year!

Gorgeous property in a beautiful wooded setting. The host, Patti, was so gracious and friendly. The house is stocked with basically everything you need to have a great trip. Our family had a wonderful time at her house. It's on a lovely street, quiet, with lots of wildlife-birds, deer, chipmunks. Highly recommend.

Girls Trip

Wonderful! The cottage is perfect and provided everything we needed. The beautiful garden and fire area is absolutely magical. The neighborhood is very secluded and family friendly. We felt very safe. The private beach is the icing on top of the cake! Beautiful sunsets and sounds of the waves from the lake took away all of our stress. New Buffalo, an adorable beach town, is a short drive from the property and offers shopping, restaurants and a marina. We would absolutely stay at the Cottage again! Thanks so much.

Wonderful stay

The house had everything we needed and is in a great location for the beach, shops, and other activities! The yard is beautiful and our teenagers spent a lot of time out there in the evenings. We would definitely stay again.

Pre-back to school getaway

One of the best my vacations.

Perfect girls weekend spot

Adorable cottage... true to pictures. Close to wineries, town, beaches... front yard is super cute with fire pit, chairs and string lights. Super fun spot.

great mini vacation!

we very much enjoyed our time in New Buffalo! The house was very close to a more private beach which everyone enjoyed. We also loved walking through town and eating at Oinks & The Stray. Picking blueberries at Mike’s was also very fun! The house was great and having beach towels and chairs available helped cut down on packing.

wonderful trip!

This was a wonderful rental. It was so charming and perfectly stocked. The space was perfect for my family of 4. The outdoor space is so pretty; one night we grilled and sat around the fire pit. The cottage is decorated so well, and we loved the blue and red motif. Such a cute place! The location was wonderful, just a short walk to the beach. The walk is less than 1/2 mile (maybe like .3 or something). On the second day my husband dropped us off with all our stuff, then left his car at the house and walked over himself, which was so fast. So if you have young kids like me (who don't carry much and leave you with all the chairs and beach bag!), that is such an easy option. The beach was awesome, not crowded and clean. FYI there are stairs to walk down to the dunes, but they are really nice stairs and easy to walk.

Girl's Weekend

Cottage was a wonderful place to stay for our girl's weekend. Very clean and convenient to both New Buffalo and Michigan City. We even saw 2 deer in the backyard. Owner was very nice and responded very quickly to our questions. Would definitely return! Thanks Patty!

Great Stay!

The cottage was perfect for a getaway with my wife and small children. It’s a close walk to the lake from the house and the beach was relatively private. We only saw another family or two every time we went there. The backyard of the house was perfect! We cooked hot dogs over the open fire and the kids enjoyed s’mores. You can tell the owners take care of the property because I didn’t notice any mosquitoes in the yard while we were outside. The outdoor shower is really nice. It makes you feel like you really are in the middle of nature. The kitchen provided all needed utensils where we cooked breakfast in the morning. It was nice having two TV’s in the house where late at night the kids could watch something geared toward them in the living room and my wife and I could watch something we preferred to watch.

Cute cottage in awesome location!

We loved the cottage, the outdoor area, and the tranquil neighborhood! So nice being able to walk to a secluded beach access (there are a lot of stairs to get down just fyi) and inclusion of beach chairs was a huge plus. Patty was so helpful and provided lots of good recommendations!

Beyond Expectations

This cottage-charm, cozy cottage was well-equipped with all we needed, including items for beach fun. Although we didn’t use the outdoor space, except for the outdoor shower, the privacy fencing in the front, wooded seclusion in the back and variety of outdoor seating arrangements, garden flowers and ornaments offer delightful entertainment.

Very clean and well-appointed. Front yard effect for cook outs and bonfires. Bit of a haul to the beach, but the private beach is amazing. 8 mins to New Buffalo strip. Close to Michi city. We had a great stay!

This is the cottage you want

If anything, this tidy cottage underplays its features. You can walk half a mile to the beach, and we did a couple times in as many days, but everything you need is at your rental: a lovely lighted front yard, a sun porch with screened windows, Wi-Fi, laundry room, well furnished kitchen (not the usual mismatched plates and glasses, dull knives and one monstrous ladle). The property is small but there are so many areas of it that we didn't get to explore them all. Everything works, a rarity in house rentals. This one is cozy and worry-free.
