Do not stay this hotel

The hotel facilities were seriously damaged. My room lock doesn't work. After the receptionist on the 12th morning opened the door of the room, she told me not to close the door again. I asked her how i can go out, and she had a bad attitude and was rude, and refused to open the door for me again. I had no choice but to call the police for help because I couldn't get into my room.The room smells so badly of paint, it's like a gas chamber,and a loud mechanical noise in the room.

Great for a night to be in the city for Mardi Gras day!!! Room had 2 windows with 2 different views of the Mardi Gras parades. Also great when you are at the parade and you got to come and used the restroom!

We had the ABSOLUTE Best time at the Holiday Inn Express -Arts District. From the super friendly staff (Charmaine and Ruby) at the front desk …Who went of their way to make sure we were taken care of our whole stay…to the evening staff Andre at the front desk and Adam the GM who made sure we were having a blast. I would highly recommend staying here.

The room was neglected - broken blinds both of them/broken safe inoperable/no extra pillow or blanket and only two towels. Shower had hair and shoe footprints in on arrival. Breakfast was. 2/10 most items not available and hot items cool. Hallways were not vacuumed over 48 hr stay and littered. Front desk staff was short when we inquired about any thing about our room including directions. Sadly I am an IHG member and have nervous experienced another IHG this badly.

The hotel was nice, great staff and the breakfast was great! The location was awesome! The parade was right outside. The downfall was when I had to pay $177 for a boot on my vehicle for parking in the hotel parking Because NOBODY told me when I CHECKED IN that They Needed MY License Plate!! That THE HOTEL needed to Put MY License plate into the System to Prevent ME FROM Getting A Damn BOOT ON MY CAR!!!!!!! This Was The DOWNFALL of THE entire Otherwise Perfect trip! I’m so Disappointed and Disgusted! $177 because THE HOTEL FAILED to Tell ME They Needed to LOG IN MY LICENSE PLATE WHEN I CHECKED IN at THE HOTEL!!!!

The room had a lot of broken items, including the door and door locks (safety issue), poor condition of the bathroom, no lights in the shower, broken toilet seat, broken toilet paper holder. The room was not very clean at the time of check in - sticky cup stains on the side tables, stinking and hairy unclean towels, greasy remote control, broken hvac vent in the ceiling. The hotel also had a fire alarm going during our stay which meant we had to walk through the exit stairwell with a very unsafe outlet outside the hotel- upon arrival downstairs in the lobby, the front desk staff said it’s false alarm. No apologies whatsoever from any staff members for all of these inconveniences that were reported to them.

The motel was clean, had a good breakfast and nice staff. I hadnt seen anything on site that mentioned having to pay additional for parking. I could hear everything from room next door, thin walls.

There was a dirty brush in our rr, hair in our shower, screw missing on our toilet, and blow dryer with dirty napkins wrapped around it. We complained and the staff didn’t do anything about, then said since if it was booked through a third party there was nothing the could do to accommodate us.

First off, the staff were all very accommodating, but the property is really in need of an upgrade. The first room (310) was windowless and barely large enough to walk around the full size bed. definitely no place for luggage. The TV didn't work. We requested a change to a larger room with a window. We got charged for an "upgrade" to a slightly larger room (201) with a "window" that looked out to an internal hallway. The flooring was coming up, the bathroom fixtures were loose, the water in the sink was super hot, while the shower was lukewarm, the safe didn't work, the deadbolt didn't work, the room door had to be slammed shut in order for it to lock. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We picked this location because of the proximity to the WWII museum and hop-on-hop-off bus route, which was very convenient. We wouldn't visit again.

The room, although small with a strange layout (included two steps down to the bathroom and entrance), was okay but we were not told in advance about the stairs and I do walk with a cane. The front desk and parking situation were not acceptable. The front desk clerk took our car and license information. She gave us confusing directions to the parking lot and after two attempts to locate it we found it. We knew it was paid parking but the front desk had our credit card and the front desk clerk said she would give the vehicle information to the parking company so we assumed everything was taken care of. We asked about something to put in the car to show we had paid for parking but she said it wasn’t necessary. When we returned home from our cruise we had a $104 parking ticket from the parking company. We contacted the hotel by email about this situation but they never responded back to us. The $40 parking charge from the hotel now has appeared on our credit card statement, which we are contesting. What should have been $40 for one night’s overnight parking effectively turned into $144.
