I’m reaching out regarding my recent stay at Hotel Chateau LeMoyne in New Orleans (Expedia confirmation #40276138, 6/13–6/15). This trip was meant to celebrate a special occasion — my husband completing his associate’s degree — but the hotel experience left us frustrated and uncomfortable.
We purchased a package that included breakfast vouchers for either a buffet or an entrée and drink. However, we were charged $60 out of pocket after being told our selected items weren’t covered after the food was served — something that was not disclosed beforehand. The food and drink were poor in quality and barely touched. My lemonade tasted as though it contained alcohol (though I was told it didn’t), and my husband’s soda was flat. No one offered a fix, replacement, or even an apology, and we were never told what items were actually included in the voucher. In short, we paid twice for a meal we didn’t eat — once through our booking and once at the table.
On top of that, the room was freezing throughout our stay. When I asked about the heat, I was told the heater in our room didn’t work, with no other solution offered. I had no choice but to remain cold and uncomfortable for the duration of the stay.
Given the circumstances — the lack of transparency around included amenities, the poor restaurant service, and the inability to adjust the room temperature — I’m requesting a refund for the breakfast credit I paid for as part of my reservation.
Thank you for your time and assistance.
