Great Staycation!

This was the BEST staycation. Check in was a a breeze, communication with the owner was easy and welcoming. The house was immaculate and well stocked with anything you could need. I already forwarded the information to friends of mine looking for a place to stay.

Quiet, beautiful property

The property is beautiful and very serene. We stayed here before and had the same relaxing experience. The home is very clean and nicely decorated. We felt right at home during our stay. The property is a great place to stay if you want a tranquil setting with plenty of room. We really enjoyed both times we visited and would return again.

Peaceful

The older home was very well maintained. Linens were clean & soft. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need. The screen porch and beautiful yard were so peaceful to relax and enjoy. Hope to return again soon.

Great Place

This was our second time staying at this property. It is a great location when we visit with family who live in the area. We had absolutely perfect weather for our weekend exploring the surrounding counties. We spent time at the Flood Museum, Flight 93 Memorial, and even spent an afternoon at the Johnstown Polka-Fest! We were traveling with my husband's two sisters and they both loved eating our meals on the screened in porch, and we were able to enjoy an evening around the fire pit. We had dinner one evening at Jean Bonnet Tavern in Bedford--very good and nice a outdoor dining experience. We had a vey busy, but lovely weekend..Thanks Liza!

Lovely home - quiet spot

We were looking to get away from the city for two weeks during the COVID-19 shutdown. We didn’t want to eat out, so we went shopping at the beginning of the trip and made many fabulous meals while there. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a Kitchen Aid mixer for baking! We brought our kayaks and went kayaking nearly every day on the many nearby lakes & reservoirs. We also enjoyed the Raystown Branch of the Juniata River. The stars were spectacular - we saw the Milky Way and the Perseids meteor shower after eating s’mores cooked on the campfire. The home was charming. The pictures on the listing don’t do this lovely home justice. Spotlessly clean, a cozy living room, and comfortable beds. Our favorite place was the screened-in back porch. My son loved the hammock. The owners were delightful, and we wanted for nothing during our stay!

Best Sister's "Weekend" Ever!

Every year my two sisters and I have "sisters' weekend". This year our weekend stretched to 5 days which we spent at Spring Meadow Guest House near Bedford, PA. The guest house is decorated beautifully with antiques, coverlets, braided and hooked rugs with lots of early American memorabilia, tastefully arranged. Liza has an eye for detail that is extraordinary. Everything necessary for a comfortable stay is provided. We spent hours drinking coffee, talking, watching a series on Netflix, reading, shopping at the Spring Meadow Antique store that is on the grounds, sightseeing at Old Bedford Village and the Flight 93 Memorial, lunch at Bedford Springs Resort, dinners out, breakfast in. Bob and Liza havecreated a little bit of heaven at Spring Meadow. The accommodations and hospitality exceeded our expectations. Highly recommended. We will be back!

Quick trip

We came up for my brothers celebration of life service. We drove up from South Carolina. We got a call from the host at 5:00, to ask our arrival time. We let them know it would be late. They went and opened the house and turned on some lights inside and out, so we did not arrive in the dark. The home was amazing. The antiques were beautiful. The beds were very comfortable. We watched the sunrise on the back porch with coffee. The yard and fields were very busy with deer, rabbits looking for breakfast. It was a very busy and quick trip. We left early Sunday morning after coffee and sunrise on the back porch. This was 7 minutes from my brother’s home. So the location was perfect. It was a very fast and emotional weekend for us. Coming back to this home at the end of the day was a God send. The warmth and peace, as well as the sounds of spring night was amazing. We will be staying again! Thank you for having us.

So cozy and comfortable...

This place is cozy country comfort at its best. Five of us had our annual knitting retreat in this super clean farm house. It is in south central PA but far enough away from the Penn State/State College craziness. There are two porches to enjoy the gorgeous views, one of which is enclosed. Definitely recommend!

Perfect Place To Catch Up With Life-long Friends

We are five women in our 60s who have been friends since childhood. One lives in Philadelphia and the others in NE Ohio. The house is the mid-point and close to Bedford where we always spend the day shopping and dining. The house has plenty of room for all of us and has all the necessities. The beds are very comfortable.

Our family has stayed at this property several times. The house is quaint and is satisfactory for our short family trip. Using the property was easy and it had all of the basic amenities described. The WiFi was a little unreliable and improving this would be a nice upgrade. As long as you don't want modern styling or accommodations, this is a good property to rent.

Girls Getaway Weekend

We are a group of childhood friends who have been gathering for a getaway weekend in central PA for many many years. Bedford is the mid-way point and we’ve stayed at many different places in the area. We LOVED LOVED LOVED Lisa’s place. It was spotlessly clean, very homey and comfy, and had every item we would need (and more). We will definitely come back on our next visit to Bedford.

Absolutely perfect

My family and I journeyed apt to rural Pennsylvania for my nephews wedding. From the moment we arrived at this stunning guest house we felt like we were at home or visiting a relative rather than staying at a stranger’s house. Everything has been perfectly thought out. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped. The towels were luxurious and plentiful. The TV worked and we watched movies in the evening. Outside there was a fire pit, gazebo, swimming pool (closed for the winter) Plus an open and enclosed patio. I wish I could stay there forever I loved every minute of it. We will definitely be back. My family agrees 100% and really enjoyed your stay. We were four adults.
