"Room was very dated, furniture in poor condition. Found several black hairs in shower/bed. Shower/tub also do not drain which was unsettling, The towel rack was inside (?) the shower which would be odd design for taller guests. No housecoats or standard amenities were provided, and towels were in short supply. Room did not match online pictures at all, so while the room design was pretty standard it was disappointing it wasn’t what their own website or Expedia displayed."

"The Algonquin is the reason St.Andrew’s -by-Sea is a resort town. Lots of shops, most still open in winter are great for clothes, jewellery, and eating out. No movie theatres. Found a new and superb restaurant downtown called William’s on Water. Superb chef, fresh ingredients with a menu that changes daily. As for the Algonquin resort, it still has that welcoming, cozy feel: a home away from home. The staff are beyond service I have had anywhere else. I enjoyed a spa service that used honey harvested on the Algonquin’s property, an exfoliating body scrub that was divine. I must admit that I really really don’t like the new renovations and told the manager. They are switching from warm, soothing colours to cool and trendy greys and blues. "

"Host was very responsive and made communication easy. The property is very well appointed and is kept immaculate. Awesome location with lots of room. The hot tub was great to relax in. Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Lorneville. "

"We had a wonderful week at the Boathouse Cottage. The location could not have been better. You are a 2 minute walk away from a secluded cove on the Bay of Funny (Kelly's Cove) with so much to explore at low tide. The tide pools had lots of treasures- crabs, shells, jellyfish, and unbeatable sunsets. Just 10 minutes away is the small town of St. George with a grocery store and other amenities. Easy day trips include St. Andrews by the Sea (40 minutes) and the white sand beaches of peace river beach (30 minutes) We also really enjoyed exploring Deer Island - the free 20 minute ferry is only 5 minutes from the cottage. The cottage itself was the perfect size for our family of 4. Rustic but appointed; it had the charm of a small restored boathouse but all the comforts and necessities we needed. The owner, Maureen, lives next door and is always available to answer any questions. She is a long time resident to the Bay of Fundy and provided us with local recommendations on beaches to explore and dining that were fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Boathouse and hope to return to again. "
