This is the place to stay

Easy to find, clean, modern, and comfortable. Very warm welcome, very helpful, lovely size room and ensuite. Minutes from the seafront and many restaurants for your evening meal. Amazing breakfast. Would definitely stay again.

Great guesthouse in Whitley Bay

I had the most wonderful stay at this GuestHouse and it fully exceeded my expectations. Staff (Paul) went out of his way to make my stay comfortable. Great breakfast, lovely location by the sea with short distance to the Metro and cozy room.

A great stay at The Metropolitan

We absolutely loved our stay at The Metropolitan. We were warmly welcomed, the accommodation was fantastic and the breakfast was superb. The guest house is in a great location, convenient for the bars and restaurants, and close to the sea.

Feels like home

I had a great time here and felt like I was at home not in a hotel. It had everything I needed and was close to the beach. They were so friendly and happy to help me find my way around the area. Breakfast was amazing too, so many options. All for a much better price than staying in central Newcastle which is easily reached by the metro a short walk down the road. I would definitely stay here again.

Overnight stay but 5 mins to Metro station right by the coast had a nice morning walk along the coastal path. Clean friendly and just what i wanted again. Good breakfast in the morning set me up for the day. Until the next time.

A really friendly welcome from check in through to departure. It was really nice to have the personal, more thoughtful touches of a smaller hotel (vs the big chains!). The room was tastefully decorated and provided a quiet, comfortable space to relax (when travelling for work). In terms of the location, the owner suggested some great areas to explore and it was easy to find one of the many ‘individual’ restaurants. Great walks along the promenade and an excellent choice of breakfast options made this a really enjoyable stay. Would have no hesitation recommending and revisiting again in the future. Thank you
