Our family of five adults had a wonderful time in this large house. We loved the views of Yachina Bay Bridge and the lovely garden around the house. The location was great, just a short walk from the historic bayfront and a slightly longer walk to Nye Beach. We appreciated the eclectic decor (we loved the dragonfly stained glass lamp in the living room) and unusual color scheme. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, utensils and some staples like oil, sugar and spices. The master suite with its jetted tub and shower and large dressing closet was terrific.
We didn’t use them, but one closet had a nice collection of games.
Our family of five had everything we needed, but a larger group might be short plates and dining room chairs. It would have been nice to have a table and chairs for eating outside. And the bedrooms all have just one night table/lamp.
Newcomers to Newport should know that the sea lions bark ALL NIGHT LONG. We rather enjoyed the sound and we made several visits to the docks where they hang out to watch them, but be forewarned if you’re a light sleeper.
Check in and checkout were a breeze.
We would love to return to this comfortable house!
