"We stayed here back in November when we were visiting family for Thanksgiving. This is the best vacation rental we’ve ever stayed at before. They had everything you could possibly need there and the hosts were very flexible and accommodating. The place was extremely clean. It honestly couldn’t have been more perfect. It’s a great place especially if you have small kids. Quiet and safe as well. We definitely plan on booking this again next time we’re in town. Thank you so much!"

One disappointing part of our trip was that the town of Newport had already drained the lake for the season on September 11 and there was not enough water to launch the boat. If you are staying here to boat and fish please call the town before booking. The property manager was very helpful and shared some lakes nearby so not was all lost."

"My husband and I absolutely loved this location. The view is spectacular and the property is immaculate. I would caution anyone traveling with older adults or very young children, there are a lot of stairs—in the house and down to the water. My father in-law claimed climbing up from the lake to the house was equivalent to climbing the Eiffel Tower. (It’s not, but you get his point.) We would stay again in a heartbeat!"

"Very nice! Spacious, lots of rooms and very clean. The sunset was amazing. I just wish it wasn't so expensive. When I got the address a few days before our stay the address was listed 314.....unfortunately we drove to the very end of a long pitted, dirt road. Turned around. Luckily I had a photo of the house and we figured out the the number was 34, NOT 314. A bit of confusion."

"- First of all, a day or two before our arrival, we learned that the place did not have safe drinking water. We were having to buy jugs of water throughout our stay. A water cooler would have been nice. - There were no washer and dryer even though the photos of the house clearly showed a washer and dryer. - A/C unit (heat pump) on the first floor leaked water throughout our stay. The owner said this is a known issue and he actually had a yearly maintenance and cleaning scheduled for the...

"The owner is very friendly and accommodating, the property is beautiful, and they have a great idea; however, it would be nice if they ran electricity to the area. We were unable to charge our phones, and the dampness was very uncomfortable. A space heater would have done wonders to help with the cold and damp. The bed was pretty comfortable. The shower pump would not start in the morning, so we spent the next day feeling dirty. With a few tweaks this place could be improved. "
