“Very good”

“A little bit showing it’s age and therefor shabby. Bits of wood falling off in the kitchen, sofa springs at the end of their life, fuse box buzzing annoyingly, water pressure low. But then there were things that were just poor. Poor design, thoughtless. Like TVs that are rediculously high on the wall, mirrors that are too low, shower doors so big so that its a pain to get in and out of the bath, blackout curtains that don’t actually blackout because they have been mounted poorly and let in……

“Sauberes, gut ausgestattetes, kleines Haus. In der Nähe des Fährhafens. Die Straße gehört zu einer alten Hafenarbeitersiedlung -- nicht die allerbeste Wohngegend, aber es war ruhig und wir haben uns nicht unwohl gefühlt. Für sehr große Autos könnte der Stellplatz in der Einfahrt knapp werden (für unseren Ford Mondeo hat es gereicht). Gute Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter.”

“The apartment was close to Trinity, quiet and safe. The apartment could have been better cleaned before we arrived. A few items in the apartment should be replaced based on wear and tear and stains. ”

“The heat was out and we weren’t notified until we were already in the place and only because I asked how to turn the heater up. There was only hot water on the day we arrived, although the owner came and checked the boiler and said it was working. No hot water so unable to shower for two nights. No window covering in the living room. The third bed was described as a futon/couch. It was barely sleep able. Not enough extra blankets with the heat being out. It was walking distance to a bunch of……
