What you expect

The apartment is everything the advertisement says. The location is perfect - a short tram ride to the airport, the city and the stadium. Bakery, small grocery store, beach (stones), restaurants and tram stop are very close. The apartment is very tidy and had everything we needed. You do hear the outside sounds and the walls are thin, but it's an old building. Which we thought was very charming. The only thing I'd mention is the curtains. There are none in the living room/bathroom, and the ones in the bed room dont keep out the light. There are shutters in front of the windows, but some are broken or wont close during our stay. Also, they still let the light through, even if they're closed. This was a small thing, but the one thing I would better if I could. We really enjoyed our stay.

perfekte Lage

Die Lage dieses Objektes ist perfekt, das Meer, der Strand in unmittelbarer Nähe, Bäcker, Supermarkt nur über die Straße, die Straßenbahn vor der Haustüre. Wir konnten die ganze Woche das Auto stehen lassen und sind alles mit der Straßenbahn gefahren. Total erholsam.

Awful experience

We did find the apartment clean. The building is another matter, as it is extremely dirty and run-down with window pains missing on other floors and our shutters had huge gaping holes. It appears as if painted or maintained the apartment in a century. When we arrived all the windows were open and as soon as we closed them we were appalled by a strong sewer smell. Also, the fact that the building's garbage cans are situated right under the windows where the back bedrooms are don't help. We tried to contact the agency Stay yna but they were already closed (it was about 6pm in France) , so we had no other option but to spend the night there. My wife ended up sleeping in bath towels on the sofa with open windows since the smell in the bedroom was unbearable. On the next morning we decided not to wait anymore and booked a hotel nearby, since we don't have many holidays, we already lost a night and we couldn’t risk losing another night if (as it seemed obvious) the smell did not go away. After many emails we got the commitment from Stay Yna to refund us for the nights we did not spend in the apartment- which is outrageous: they still charged us for one night in a place that is not in condition, plus a cleaning fee while we literally spent a few hours in the apartment and well, we also paid vrbo’s fee. So all in an awful experience with this flat and with Stay Yna.
