“Room is located in a working class apartment/condo complex, with a nice pool and good quality furnishings. It's not fancy, but is centrally located to Hilo and makes a great "base of operations" at a reasonable price. I recommend it for people who want to see the Big Island on a budget.”

“Pros: Property was clean and smelled good as soon as you walk in. Big property, nice parking, quiet area, good location near major attractions. Cons: No sink in the kitchen. Especially annoyed that they ask for you to clean all the dishes before you leave. I don’t know what they’re thinking. Bathrooms are on the smaller side, and each bathroom has the smallest sink you’ll ever see, which would not have been a major problem if they did not ask you to clean the dishes in them. “Stayed here for a week whilst visiting the eastern side of the big island and loved our time here! It has a 70s/bohemian vibe which mirrors downtown Hilo and is much larger than the photos. With 2 x double beds, a well equipped kitchen and decent bathroom and plenty of space to hang clothes it was ideal for us + you can use the washing machine/dryer in the entrance hallway in afternoon hrs. It’s above/joint on to Rainbow Jo’s shop and staff in the daytime were v.helpful. It’s also situated……

“Marc Nishimoto is such a great guy, if there were any issues it was because of my ignorance; for a simple 2-3 day stay it was perfect for me and my family, if there was any problem, I thought the bath/shower floor was a litttle slippery, but the kitchen was fully stocked, lots of towels, beds good, and an ideal location if you want to check out Kamehmeha Avenue's strip of stores.”

“We had a glitch with the lock but the owner was quick to respond to my phone call to give us the combo for the manual key, which I appreciated very much. The second bed was very small, the removable shower head line was leaking badly. The stove top and oven were dirty and the fan was also dirty. There was no complimentary coffee. ”

“Great private location, quiet and beautiful place to relax but close to activities. We cooked most of our meals there in the little kitchen which provided most of the essentials. The washer and dryer was perfect for our week stay. The room stayed cool with the extra fans. We definitelywill be returning. ”
