The staff was very friendly and caring, service was impeccable. The food was delicious, diner and breakfast alike. We have stayed in ryokans before, in various regions in Japan. Our stay here was one of the most pleasant experiences overall. Very much recommended!"

"A family-run homestay. I was fascinated by the ypical Japanese home, the minimal design, sliding doors, mats for beds, the ingenious storage... MY guestroom was Western in every way (tv, upright bed, a.c.) but I enjoyed my insight into real Japanese life. The proprietress is a master gardener, too."

"I was rather intimidated by this listing considering how automotated the whole process is. It’s all done with thorough written instruction and an iPad at check-in/out. I felt like I was doing a scavenger hunt on The Amazing Race or something. Stay the course and read everything carefully. My stay was even better than I anticipated considering how in-human the process was. Clean, big, safe comfortable room. The walls are thin, so being quiet using headphones is most polite. "Excellent accomodation, clean, tidy, good amenities and quite comfortable. Bathroom just a bit snug but otherwise very good. Excellent range to choose from for breakfast and had a choice of almost real coffee (automatice machine not barista) but best breakfast coffee yet in Japan."
