"We stayed in Room 杉 on with a private open-air bath on April 15, and this was our second time visiting this property—our last stay was about 8 years ago. It was such a joy to return. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. Both meals were absolutely delicious, with the clams being a definite highlight! We also noticed some thoughtful upgrades since our last visit, like the addition of remote-controlled lighting and TV, as well as extra blinds around the private bath area for added privacy. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming throughout our stay. We arrived on a rainy day, and they kindly arranged to pick us up near the bus station, which we really appreciated. It was also a lovely touch that they offer complimentary drinks and snacks in the lobby. On top of that, we received a gift card with our booking, which we enjoyed using at the gift shop. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel. We’re already looking forward to hopefully returning again in the near future."

"I absolutely loved the traditional Japanese room with the private outdoor bath. While it can only fit one person it’s so relaxing to be out there amongst the bamboo hillside. The hotel staff here really go above and beyond helping you with baggage, shuttle to the train station, explaining, and giving restaurant recommendations. The dinner unfortunately was full as I booked somewhat last minute. Some of the town restaurants closed up a little early on Saturday but the recommended izakaya was terrific. I didn’t need most of the amenities but everything was provided including some tea, coffee, and a kettle that I wanted first thing in the morning. Just wish I stayed longer to experience more of the town and the onsens."

"Location next to covered arcade and within 5 minutes walk to train stations and bus stops. 15 minute walk to castle. Many food options nearby. Bus or taxi best for major sites in Himeji. Osaka short Shinkansen ride from Shin Osaka station. Himeji to KIX has a bus if have luggage and goes door to door. Train requires 1 transfer. Train faster but involves movement. Bus slow but easy with luggage."

"Delicious buffet breakfast with both Japanese & Western options. Onsen was fantastic. Room was small but enough for the two of us and our luggage. Staff were very helpful. Luggage storage available after checkout - definitely recommend this hotel! "

"Our room 806 had a strong sewage smell. Coming from the bathroom. We advised the staff and all they did was to put a refreshener and that did not last.The smell persisted. The bed linen did not fit the mattress, so the sheets would not stay on the mattress. Breakfast average, coffee was good."
