THE BASICS FUKUOKA
10/10 Excellent
"This place has a really nice lobby that gives us great intro to the city. I mean the high ceiling was beautiful and I appreciate that library like shelves and the McIntosh Soundsystem quietly playing some lounge music I like that. The cafeteria was good too, but one part that they could’ve made better was the entryway is a little crowded. Food was good and one weird thing that I really really liked was the chopsticks that they used. They were so fine light and accurate. I really like our room. Our family of four people fit in perfectly and the ambience was up-to-date, clean modern I like it. Parking the car was good too. They had a nice basement parking getting around the city easy."

"Room was a bit dated as only some of the rooms had been renovated as of May 2026. However, the room was reasonably spacious by Japanese standards and was quite comfortable. Beautiful and grand lobby. Location of the hotel was fantastic with a metro entrance and a Family Mart less than a minute away. The famous yatais unique to Fukuoka were also not far away."

"We’ve stayed at many various hotels in Japan and have never come across a hotel where the staff have been as unhelpful and dismissive as the ones at Tokyu Stay Hakata. From the front desk staff to some of the restaurant staff. Linh at the front desk was particularly unhelpful. A female staff member who made our drinks at the restaurant was lovely and very friendly. Hotel itself was basic, somewhat clean (the elevators were dirty, bathrooms need more thorough cleaning), comfortable beds, location was a 10-15 minute walk from Hakata station. The in room washer and dryer were great. They’ll only do a full clean of your room once every 7 days, you can pay extra for room cleaning/bed changing if needed."

"The main come on was the free flowing draft beer, iced coffee, nuts dried fruits and chocolates at the lobby. The main drawback was the lack of housekeeping staff for the duration of the stay. Guests are required to bring out their trash although towels and toilet papers can be easily replaced at the counter when needed. For 300Usd a night it sure is nice to have a room cleaning service."

"i love the fact that the hotel provides a machine for us to vacuum our clothes to make our packing much easier and also giving us more space in the luggage. there are coffee, wine, sake, pop corns, chips and udon served nightly at level 5 garden for guests. what a treat! the hotel is so well located next to the bus station and airport transfer so we can take airport transfer easily from international airport directly without the fuss. taxi is also easily available for morning flights for those who dont want to take the airport transfer. overall a very comfortable and clean stay!!"
