“This B&B was well located to explore the area. The room was sufficient and comfortable for a 2 night stay and there was enough free parking and restaurants round about which helped make the stay easy.”

“Great guest house with a generous living room space and kitchenette. We had a separate entrance for our room. Well located to the city center with spectacular views over the harbour. Very nice to have a parking spot and very responsive staff!”

“So pleased that we chose the Geckos rest to stay for 4 nights. John and Amy were welcoming and very knowledgeable about the area, suggesting different ways to walk to town, where to catch a bus if we needed it. The rooms are spotless, have all you need. Nice smelling toiletries and well stocked tea tray. They provide free fresh milk should you want it and use of the fridge in the dining room in case you need to keep something cool. Plenty of parking for everyone staying. You will never go hungry……

“Lovely retreat in a quaint village placed conveniently between both coasts. Glamping at it's best. The hosts discreet but easily reached. Issues sorted swiftly (beside weather not in their power :).CLose to Newquay, Truro St Ives.Lost garden of Heligan and an amazing pub,walking distance from the site with beautiful food. Breakfast available,basics provided. I had a lovely time despite feeling that the wind will.blow away the tent over te Atlantic. Sturdy tent.”

“Wow what can I say… we loved staying at Borthalan House. The location is perfect for St Ives with train station only a few minutes away and easy routes to beautiful places such as St Michael’s Mount and Minack Theatre. What made our stay extra special was Margaret and Martin who really looked after us. Margaret’s breakfast was delicious and Martin’s humour gives us a good kickstart to the day. Borthalan House was really cosy and the room we stayed in had lovely sea views. We will miss our daily……
